Grady RN Residency - Summer 2020

Hi everyone! Is anyone else in the process of applying to Grady Memorial’s RN residency program that’s set to start this August?

I may be impatient (?!) but I applied a little over a week ago and have yet to hear back.

Has anyone heard anything back? Or for anyone who went through the process for Winter 2020, how long did it take you to hear back?

Hey all,

I also applied to the residency and was given the 24th as the interview day. I'm super excited and nervous. It's been a dream of mine to work there.

I saw the base pay and differentials from Winter 2020 and honestly I was surprised. If it will be the same, base pay is 24.68. We don't get critical care pay No holidays, overtime or nights until after the first 3 months (which is awkward because I heard residency is basically nights, they probably switch things around with each residency) Night pay is as follows 3p-1130p is an additional 2.75, 11p-7a is 3.50 and weekends 3.00. Depending on specialty your differential would be from 4-8 dollars extra, and I believe we wouldn't get that till done with residency. This was from another post though from the current residency class. So who knows. I guess we can use this as a guide

Thanks, TitilolaP. I got an email invite for the 24th but I already have another offer at a different hospital, and wasn't sure if I would stick with that or try for Grady. That information is good to know, and pretty much makes my decision for me. Thanks!

I'm coming in from out of state as well. Has anyone opted to do the Webex interview for 3/24 due to the current pandemic? I emailed the lead for the residency program but haven't gotten a confirmation for the video email.

Same. I emailed to opt for WebEx since I'm 6 hours away and I haven't heard anything back either.

Has anyone received their WebEx email invite for tomorrow? I received the email with all the times for the SICU but no email for the WebEx invite.
