Congrats on all your hard work and achieving this goal! I was just accepted to my nursing program and will be 39 when I graduate (fingers crossed!). Thank you for your encouragement!
P.S. I worked as a social worker in my previous career and my nursing program is a concurrent enrollment to obtain a MSN in nursing education at the same time as my ADN. So pretty similar paths!

I graduate nursing school today! I can hardly believe it. I’ve had other careers, other degrees...I’m an older graduate nurse (I’ll be 47 in a week!) but these last couple of years have been among the most challenging I have ever experienced.
I am graduating with a 3.9 GPA and plan to take the NCLEX at the end of May. Both ATI and Uworld say that I have a very high chance of passing so fingers crossed they are right!
In August I plan on starting my masters in nursing Ed. I was a mental health instructor prior to nursing school so it feels right.
I just stopped in to give encouragement. ESPECIALLY if you are an older student and you think you are too old or you can’t do it. You aren’t and you can!
My graduation cap has an Ellen Degeneres quote on it “You’re never too old to play, you’re only too old for low rise jeans.” How true that is. Know your age, but get on it guys and gals. You are never too old!!
