Grad. BSN 4 yrs. ago, 3 mos. NCLEX-RN study enough?

Published

Is anyone on the same boat as me? I graduated BSN 4 years ago and plan to take the NCLEX-RN before it modifies the questions to changing times (April1) i plan to take it end of March 2010. Anyone tried 3 months of preparation and was successful? What did you do? I plan to concentrate on Saunders.

we have a lot in common sweet_kisses..i'm living with my aunt, who's got 2 kids that sometimes I need to look after but they are accomodating to my requests not to disturb me when I'm reviewing and I'm sharing their computer too...:lol2:

But I'm filled with people who are very supportive and the people on this site is where I get help and hope...

maybe try to manage your time and plan the day ahead..This challenges and hindrances on your review are part of the test. We want to pass NCLEX so bad that we have to work hard for it.. Don't get affected by people's comments..just breath it out.. JUST PRAY...

I just got my result from my second take, i got most of the content area in near the passing standard, il enroll in kaplan, hope it will help me pass, I just need time to grieve a little bit more. hope we both pass soon take care, thanks for replying to me I really appreciate it.

surely...let's look forward to that..you'll be in my prayers along with others..:)

I'm in the same boat as you. I graduated, failed. Long story short, we had an unexpected event happen(baby) not long after my first attempt at NCLEX. With school done and sleepless nights it was all to easy to stop studying. Good luck.

I think it's definitely doable if you must take it before the said date. It would require a massive amount of studying and dedication however.

IMO 100-200Q a day (6 days a week, about 6-7 hrs. studying). Disect EACH Saunders questions, rationales and Kaplan strategies. GL and just always remind yourself every day to "keep your eyes on the prize!"

You are freaking me out. I have been studying pretty well for about 3 weeks. I have almost completely read the Saunders book. I am doing lots of questions and get about 90-95% of the questions correct, if not more. I take the NCLEX in 17 days.

I have not been worried, but reading your post makes me scared.

Sweetkisses335- Keep your focus and don't stop praying. What study material are you currrently using? Don't let people make you feel bad about this test. If they have not walked in your shoes they can't begin to know what it's like. I have not been out of school as long as you have but long enough. I graduated 12/2008 . I am still studying to test soon. Send me a pm or email , I might be able to help. Best Wishes ! ! !

Einnannie05- Best wishes to you as well. Send me a pm or email I might be able to help.

You all can beat this test! I graduated in '99 and failed once. Life happens. Long story short...I took the NCLEX for the second time in April '08, after 9 months of INTENSIVE studying and passed with 75Qs. If I can do it, y'all can too!!

In the same boat. Only difference is that i am taking this test for the fifth time.

I am so stressed out! I don't even know what to study for my next try. I took kaplan twice and felt it did not help me at all.

Best wishes to all who are preparing to test.

Great job! I'm preparing to study for my HESI exit and NCLEX for the next 9 months. Did you have a schedule or a certain routine you followed that helped you prepare for the nclex?
