  1. i have the lacharity book shame to say its dusty LOL. from being tired of taking test I started but didnt finish,.... with the threads here I am picking my book back up and getting it together with Gods help I can do it at least now I have much much less stress than years pass, I have to believe nursing is for me no matter what some say. cuz Ive had people tell me "why u pick a major that need a test to get a job anyway" go find another type of job making real money with no test....but I also hear dont give up, no patient will know how many times you took test just how well you treat them.
  2. is this thread still available I see the entries are old, im in same situation wanted to know if anyone else was

  6. I am currently a (10+ yr) scrub tech, finishing up my nursing test very soon, I want to b a circulator nurse, are the employers going to consider my scrub tech experience for my pay?? since "offically" im a new nurse. but not new to the o.r. which is a big differnce. because i get paid more than a new grad would get paid as a scrub tech. btw im in MD

  8. all your posts here r a inspiration, im 3yrs out of school, 2yrs of it going through a separtion, 3rd yr I was going through the divorce and still tried to pass but no avail. now in later part of 3rd and 4th I have to PASS and move on!!! at least i have no distractions(except 4 days of full time o.r. tech work) i have to make time to sit and study- no more excuses i need to b a nurse for my son like my orginal goal. full steam ahead!!!! :-)
  9. need advice....was scrub tech for 10yrs before rn school, should i apply for o.r. nursing or would it be more beneficial to be a different nurse first and come back? ... experience in o.r. nurses pls help me!! some rns have said techs will b great as o.r. nurses, but do i need experience elsewhere or go with what i know...not to mention im in the 40 and over crew :-)
  10. that was inspiring, cuz im on my 3rd time and waiting....
  11. all i will say is >>dont give up. I cant so u cant>>I am on my 3rd time and waiting for results.
  12. make sure you get that score (65) or above on 5,6,7 trainer thats where i made my mistakeI got a 67 on the readiness test but I got 50-60%on the pre tests. So keep doing the questions!!!! good luck and god bless, shelly, wishing I used kaplan to the utmost!!:)
  13. i heard some meds on nclex are totally experimental questions?? does any know if thats true??
  14. OMG what a story!!!! As I was reading your story I saw myself and my situation. I am getting ready to take my nclex again too (3rd). I also got more into finding out my faith and sitting studying the word of god for strength. No one in my family understood what I was going through!! I even got comments like..."you've seen it twice you should be good", now iam focused, my faith is built up, and i am ready not just for the test but for the rest of my nursing career!! my time is now!! thanks again for you inspirational words!!! you will be a great nurse, and you will work hard to keep your licence since it took such hard work to acheive it. :yeah::yeah:
