Here is a place that we could start discussing the next part of our journey in nursing school.

Has anyone read the book they suggested in our acceptance letters? I bought it off amazon and I am excited to read it!!!

hey I am new to the group! Received my acceptance letter last week! Better late than never. I am so excited. I have my passport photo ready to go, but I will be new to GPC, haven't done that much digging, but what do I do to pay my confirmation fee? Do I need to go to campus or can I do it online?

I am so glad the boot camp is after our vacation! Anyone have an idea when we'll get more info on our schedule for the first semester?

I looked on the gpc calendar and registration for fall isn't until July!!! I'm hoping they will at least have the schedule up for a while before then...I looked at last year's schedule but I don't know if it will be the same...hopefully it won't be too last minute because I have to figure out child care and if my daughter is going to be able to go to pre-school!

I just e-mailed to find out more info on the schedule for the fall, and this is the response I received. I wish it was more helpful.

"I believe it will be given at boot camp. Expect to be here between 8 – 5 everyday Monday thru Friday. Your clinical will start six weeks into the semester and you will start around 6:30 and will go until 4 or 5."

HI Everyone,

I paid for the background check and wanted to schedule the drug test for sometime in June. For some reason it did not give me an option to schedule, it simply gave me a form to take to the lab. Did anyone else have this experience?

What lab? Maybe it's just walk in?

The FAQs on their website says that they will send an email with instructions for the drug test...if you pay by credit card it will be sent immediately and if you don't receive it you should call customer service at [phone] option 2.

I graduated from GPC. DO NOT buy any of the books before hand, I know you guys are excited about Nursing school, but you will not be using many of the books, and if you can, either rent or buy used. Good luck, I hope the program starts picking up, because it has been going downhill fast.

Totally. I plan to enjoy this stress free life while I can and I also plan to buy a used older edition of the main textbook. The others I'm not purchasing. May I ask what you found to be bad with GPC's program?

What's so bad?

The teachers keep changing and they cannot write test questions to save their lives. They tell you they are their for you. And some are. But others should not be in teaching.
