Here is a place that we could start discussing the next part of our journey in nursing school.
Has anyone read the book they suggested in our acceptance letters? I bought it off amazon and I am excited to read it!!!

Have any of you taken microbiology at the Dunwoody Campus? I am trying to find out if any outside of the textbook is required for the class, but the professor is not returning e-mail until the day classes start back up. I'd hate to buy the whole package the school is selling, if I only need the book.
I rented the book from Chegg, it was $30. I bought both the lab manual and another thing under micro from the book store. I think it was about $60 for those. I'm keeping the shrink wrap on them until I find out if we need them or not. I just wanted to get them because I probably won't go back to the school until the first day of classes! :)

I was hoping to rent it, but it's out of stock!
I just received this e-mail from my professor. I hope it helps those of you that are taking his class at Dunwoody.
]There is a homework assignment for Micro lecture. Students have a choice between:
]
]photocopying and answering the multiple choice questions at the end of select chapters in the 11th edition of Tortora (about 30 pages worth)
]
] or
]
]purchasing MasteringMicrobiology with the textbook. If you choose to do the MasteringMicrobiology quizzes and you want to purchase the 11th edition, then a bundle would be a good idea. If students are doing MasteringMicrobiology, I allow them to use previous edition texts of Tortora that are much cheaper. If you choose to do that, then you can purchase the MasteringMicrobiology code by itself (not bundled).
Hello everyone. One of my friends was accepted into a nursing program at another school. She found white Nurse Mates shoes on sale at the Shoe Show with a cost between $14.98-19.98. There's a lot of expenses that we all have to pay out for the program, so I thought that I would share this information for anybody interested. :)

I am excited to start the nursing program as I've worked SO hard to get to this point. BUT I was in a nursing program 10 years ago for all of 3 weeks and withdrew. I know what's ahead and I'm cherishing and enjoying every minute of freedom until the program begins LOL I don't know how I'm going to do it with two kids but I can't worry about that now just have to enjoy this summer and u all should too! TRUST me.
