I can't believe it. I have read in the past I wouldn't hear until the end of March or April to know if I was accepted. To my very happy surprise, I got my letter in the mail today! Let the games begin.....anyone else here from GPC? Good luck to you all!

I liked how they had the days planned for us. I stayed for all three and glad I did. I am still nervous about learning so much in a short amount of time (i.e. all the reading for the first test). I just wish I knew who you guys were so we could have connected during the camp.

My name is Amanda E. I think I may have met you in the test taking strategies workshop on day 2? If you are who i'm thinking of we worked on the practice test together. I didn't realize it till I saw your name on here afterwards and I remembered reading your name tag lol I really enjoyed boot camp though! Very helpful but made me even more nervous haha i'm excited though!

Nice to hear! No worries you guys are going to o great.

Hey Amanda! (aelmo14),

Did we sit on the back row together? If so, HI! I spoke to my doctor yesterday about that test and he said it is normal for there to be two obviously not the answer, but two that will be possibly correct. Like the instructor told us, we have to look closely at the wording of the questions. I too am concerned, but ready to jump in and get my feet wet. We can do this!

Yes we did! Funny we met without even knowing it lol it was nice meeting you though! I'm ready to jump in also, i'm already working on the reading. It would be great to form a study group. I know that one instructor said she does personal study groups in the lab before exams so I would definitely like to take advantage of that.

For all Fall RN Students are you guys in class summer of 2014? And how is the program going because I see that this post went dead in August lol

I'm curious too! How's it going?

It looks like I will have this same issue. Can you tell which major thay are advising to change to?

Hello. Congratulations to all who were accepted into GPC's Nursing Program last year. I know that GPC receives 500+ applications and only accepts approximately 150 students (At least in 2014, they are accepting 150 students.), so that was a job well done! :) When you were accepted last year, can you give me your stats:

-What classes were you taking at the time or had to finish when you applied into the program?

-What was your science GPA?

-What was your overall GPA of all the classes GPC required)?

-Were you a transfer student when you applied?

-What was your Math, Reading, and Overall TEAS scores (I've heard GPC only looks at those and not Science and English.)?

-Does having a Bachelors give you more points (At other colleges, it gives you more points.)?

Thank you so much.

Hey. I'm applying for the fall so I can't answer your questions just curious how you knew they were accepting 150 students? That's 30 more than last year I believe, which is great :)

Hello. Ms. Creel in the GPC Nursing Department let me know after I asked. That's good to know that they are accepting 30 more people. :)

Hey if you search for the Georgia Perimeter Fall 2013 thread a lot of people posted their stats there...its kind of a pain to sift through it all but there is a lot of good info there! From what I could tell, GPC focuses more on GPA than on TEAS...I think as long as you're proficient then your score is fine...it seems like it gets more competitive every year though! I'm wishing I had applied 6 years ago when I first wanted to haha:) Anyways, good luck!

Thanks milesamelia for the information. Did you apply for the Fall 2014 program or will you apply for a future program?

I did go back to read some of the past posts and have concluded:

-You can apply after taking A & P 1.

-I saw some science GPAs.

-I saw some overall GPAs.

-You can be a transfer student.

-You have to meet minimum requirement of 63 (now probably 65) on Math, Reading, & overall TEAS.

-I didn't see any indication that a Bachelor degree helps to be accepted.

It does look like the bar is raised on the GPAs & TEAS each year due to applicants' increased GPAs & TEAS scores (to be more competitive).
