Got the "good" pop up and failed. #PVT

Nursing Students NCLEX

Sooooo.... I tested on the 18th of March and walked out feeling terrible. This was the second time I've tested btw... So I tried the "PVT" and on the site it said "delivery successful". I tried to reregister and got the "good" pop up. Something like,"you can not register at this time, our records indicate you have previously taken this exam. Please contact you BON..." I'm freaking out. When I tested the first time and failed, it took me straight to the cc screen. So this time when I tried the trick and got the pop up I was for sure that I passed, got my quick results today and found out that I failed. I've never heard of this. What do I do!?

I got the good pop up also, took the test march 18 also and stopped at 75. came home and did the pearsonvue trick and got the good pop up. Oh I was too scared to feel elated. I have checked my BON for california every day since (they do take forever) and my name never popped up. I also did the pearsonvue daily and still got the good pop UNTIL today. it took me straight to the cc page. Im so sad...:sour::bored::sorry:

Try Prep U for studying, I found that Kaplan had a lot of contraindicatory answers and strategies, such as pain as a psychological factor.. NCLEX pain - physical...

Prep-U is amazing! http://www.amazon.com/NCLEX-RN-10-000-Powered-PrepU/dp/1451172850/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1395618346&sr=8-2&keywords=prepu+10%2C000

The same thing happened to me last November 2013. I just took again 3/17 and tried the trick. It brought me cc page. I didn't bother to pay for quick result to find out.im still in tear now but just have to move on. It took me 5 years to process papers.

it took u tht long to process? omg i thought i was the only person who experienced a three years processing of documents

Sorry to hear that..... Would you like to talk about it? I am doing a research study on NCLEX failure. See my post by cutting and pasting or clicking on this url

Failure can be devastating that is why I want to learn more...

The reason why there are so many posts with the PVT working is because people who passed the test are happy, so they come back here and post about it. As for most of the people who have failed, they were too depressed to even bother to come to the forums to post. I think that's why the successful rate of the PVT working is so high compare to it being not working. So sorry to hear about your situation though.

I'll put things this way: the PVT does usually work... both ways. It's not 100% reliable in either direction. We've seen instances where people got the cc page and passed and where people got the "good popup" and failed, as is the case here. The point is, either way, if you pass or fail, you can celebrate or groan a bit, but wait for official results before you get pancaked or completely elated.

I know that once I've taken the NCLEX, if I get one of those two results, I've likely gotten the accompanying result... but I'm not going to hang my hat on anything specific until I either get a "You failed" notice or I see numbers after my name indicating that I'm an RN.

Same here got good pop up and failed 2014

What sources did you use to pass the second time?

Same thing happened to me my first time taking the NCLEX. First time I went through all 6 hours a total nervous wreck after studying the complete wrong way and got home to find the good pop up, it kept giving me good pop up for about a day and a half. And I failed :(

Second time after getting a GREAT tutor I passed after 75 questions no problem and got "good" pop up once again though this time I did not take anything away from it.

wow I really was happy I got the good pop up. All my classmates got it and passed but I took longer to test so thought the trick was reliable. I'm from Cali too so I gotta wait 3-4 wks for results, but now after reading that ppl have failed with it I'm sooo nervous and anxious again. I didn't know the message could change once you got the pop up. This is torture.

I used the Saunders yellow book, PrepU online, and LaCharity prioritization book. And a GREAT tutor. My tutor was Mary Jane Scott... She used to work at Mass General accelerated nursing school but I believe she is focusing on family and her tutoring work. Almost solely works with people who have already failed the test at least once and I think her pass rate is close to or above 90% but it could have changed.

Totally changed how I studied and approached the problems. Studying Nursing is not like science or history!

I don't know if it's allowed for me to post it here but if anyone is in the Boston area and wants the link to her website or her email address I'd be more than happy to give it to you :).

There isn't a 48 hour fast result you can buy?

Yikes!

I don't know about other states but in california you have to wait. No quick results are available :(
