  1. There isn't a 48 hour fast result you can buy? Yikes!
  2. I used the Saunders yellow book, PrepU online, and LaCharity prioritization book. And a GREAT tutor. My tutor was Mary Jane Scott... She used to work at Mass General accelerated nursing school but I believe she is focusing on family and her tutoring work. Almost solely works with people who have already failed the test at least once and I think her pass rate is close to or above 90% but it could have changed. Totally changed how I studied and approached the problems. Studying Nursing is not like science or history! I don't know if it's allowed for me to post it here but if anyone is in the Boston area and wants the link to her website or her email address I'd be more than happy to give it to you :).
  3. I had always thought an ADN was a "diploma" nurse? Excuse my ignorance but I guess my area doesn't have these programs.
  4. Same thing happened to me my first time taking the NCLEX. First time I went through all 6 hours a total nervous wreck after studying the complete wrong way and got home to find the good pop up, it kept giving me good pop up for about a day and a half. And I failed Second time after getting a GREAT tutor I passed after 75 questions no problem and got "good" pop up once again though this time I did not take anything away from it.
  5. You could work as a nurse for at least a year or so and find out if you like the reality of nursing first before you make a big time and $$ commitment. But everyones different so...
  6. I just started my NP program at a brick and mortar school with mostly online courses and found the Advanced Pathophysiology course far harder than my undergrad course. Many of the concepts were the same but the level of understanding required was not. Also, the volume of required reading in Advanced Patho is daunting. On a sidenote Kathryn McCance has to be a genius.
  7. Thanks for posting that Chasing Zero video. Definitely had me tearing up at a few of the stories!
  8. That's great! Hope to see more states adopt this.
  9. The trick did not work for me the first time I took the test. Was very disappointed. I was so nervous I used up ALL 6 hours!!! Got the good pop up, wouldn't let me register and then I found out I failed by quick results service. Second time around I was able to pass with flying colors at 75 questions with the help of a great tutor from MGH by the name of Mary Jane Scott. Anyone near boston needs help passing the NCLEX she's the lady to go to! Great passing rate 90%+ and she almost exclusively worked with people who have failed at least 1 time previously.
  10. Hahaha wait wait did a doctor really take the time to place member implants for a critical patient on a vent?
