Hi everyone, I am new to this site. I was wondering if any pre-nursing students will be applying to the Golden West College ADN program this June for Spring 2020. If so, can you please share your experience as well as how many points you are applying with? Hope to hear from you. Thanks in advance.
Hi guys,
I am wondering if any one here have working experience that is more than 1000 hrs. How did you have the letter from your boss/Doctor? I am in a very hard situation right now. I am applying to Cypress for Spring and I want a letter from my doctor so I could have more chance to get in. However, my doctor said he needs a form/link from the school sent to him so he can fill it out my hours, my position, experience i have gained at his office and then he will send it back to the school I am applying for. I asked Cypress and they said there is no form or link. Im wondering if Golden West would have a form to fill out. If not, I would quit my job at his office (which is 5 months already) and look for another one. My doctor said he has been doing this a lot of times for his staffs, but this is the first time he heard about schools not sending forms to Doctors.
Anyone have experience about this?? Thank you guys.
Best,
Amy

Is it a doctors office? Hospital?
I work in an ER and just asked my director write a letter on the hospital letter head and I turned that on. Sorry you’re having these issues. It’s just a letter for proof of work. There wasn’t a form from cypress.
@Adang I worked at several private practices and had the ND's write me a letter of recommendation and include my hours. I used that for all my submissions. They did those letters on office letterhead.
But if the doctor is busy perhaps you can write up what you need for him and just ask him to sign it to save him time ?
good luck with uR apps!
@Adang That should say: I asked the MD's*
Sorry for the typos

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything yet? This wait is driving me absolutely crazy.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. On the hand, as hard as it is, the longer wait is probably better since the other schools many of us applied to give their response letters much later than GWC. I tried to sign up for informed delivery, but my address isn’t eligible.

I looked at old threads and it looks like they posted previous years that letters would be sent out in October, but the school ended up sending them several weeks sooner than that. Hopefully we hear from them in a week or two! I JUST submitted my applications to CSULB, anyone else?
