Golden West College Spring 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone, I am new to this site. I was wondering if any pre-nursing students will be applying to the Golden West College ADN program this June for Spring 2020. If so, can you please share your experience as well as how many points you are applying with? Hope to hear from you. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone! ??

With the new changes made to the multi criteria I am at 76 points. This will be my second time applying as I am in the alternate pool for fall 2019. I had 78 points with that application period. @JunieBee what points/experience are you applying with?

Good luck to everyone applying! Hoping we all get in ??

Hello!

I started a thread for the same subject, but it is just crickets over there. I plan on applying for spring 2020, but I take my TEAS in June--so I won't know my points yet. I'd guess my low end would be around 74 and best case scenario maybe 81. Did anyone take the new classes they want us to take prior to applying? I'm doing pharm over the summer, and I tried to get nursing 99, but it filled up before open registration started.

best of luck to everyone ?

We turn in applications in June. If you take them in the summer I don’t think it will count for this application period only fall, but it’s good to have the classes done. I just finished pharm.

Hi @Capito, I will be taking my TEAS exam soon, from there I will be able to determine my points. Sorry, I did not see your response until now. ?

You have a lot of points! Hope you the best getting into the program!!

Hi @Nina85 I will be taking my TEAS exam soon as well, I am not sure how many points I have yet. I will be applying this June.

I registered for pharm for fall, and I am on the waiting list for nursing 99. I agree, @Capito, the courses won't apply to the application term for points, but it is good to take the course.

Hello everyone,

I applied for Fall of 19 and was denied because I didn't meet enough of the criteria. With the new point system more of my classes apply but my points remain the same. I only have 38 points so I am still hopeful that a school will accept me.

@Courtcat I recommend u redo all ur classes and get around 78-80+ pts if u want to be considered competitive and selected for Gwc Nursing program.

Hi guys! I will be applying too! This is my first time applying to any nursing program. I have 81 points.

Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone!

I also will be applying this cycle! I've never applied to any nursing programs before so this is my first time like some of you! I currently have about 74 points so I'm not too sure how good my chances are to get in. Also does anyone know how long it takes GWC to mail out the decision letters?

Hi @KayDee90

You have a lot of points! I hope you get into the program! It will be my first time applying too. I will be taking the Teas exam next week. Quite nervous because it is worth so many points. How many points did you obtain from the teas exam if you don't mind me asking? There are so many steps and information to apply for nursing... Are you referring to any other schools?
