Golden West College Fall 2019

Hello fellow fall 2019 applicants!

God willing, we will find out if we made it into the fall 2019 cohort at Golden West the latter part of April. I have been waiting for someone to start a post so we could all "calmly" wait this process out together! I know I am not the only one out here so please join me as we "patiently" wait for our acceptance emails/mail! All positive vibes, I am low key an internal wreck, if you cannot tell by the words I strategically placed within "quotes", lol.

Congrats guys! If you don’t mind telling, how far away do you guys live from GWC? I’m in Garden Grove and I have the mail notification app and didn’t see any letter from GWC coming in today.

I got my acceptance today! For reference, I'm in Costa Mesa. I will be declining my spot since I decided to go with another school. Congratulations to everyone and I wish you all the best of luck on your nursing journeys!

Hi everyone! I just received my letter, and I have been selected as Alternate #5 for admittance. I had 81 points. This semester seems more competitive than usual since anyone with 80+ points got accepted easily in the past. Seeing as some of you are declining your seats, I hope I'll get accepted soon!

@skk97, if you got accepted, you must've gotten 82 points! Based on your & my results, it's likely that the point cutoff is 82 for this admission cycle.

@dp_nurse1993 I live 5 minutes away from GWC, for reference.

I got admitted with 88 points but I committed to CSULB already!

My points breakdown:

  • 9 pts for Eng/Psy Dev/Speech
  • 25 pts for Science GPA (3.3)
  • 30 pts for TEAS (92%)
  • 7 pts for Bachelor's
  • 5 pts for Patient Care Exp (volunteer)
  • 3 pts for Life Exp (automatic)
  • 2 pts for 2nd Language

= 81 pts

Hi guys,

i just got my acceptance letter today. I was between either 83 points or 93 points depending on whether or not they accepted my work experience. I’m not sure if I’ll be accepting my spot. I’m waiting to see if my friend also gets accepted as well. Good luck everyone else still waiting for their results!

I just opened my letter and I was placed into an alternate pool with 78 points.

This was a competitive semester.

I heard it is hard to get in when you're in the pool. I am still waiting for other schools so I will update my status if anything changes.

However, Congratulations to those who got accepted to the program! Keep up the hard work!

For anyone who’s applying for spring as well, how common is it that everyone has completed pharmacology, English and statistics. Also based on the new calculations of the multi criteria did your points go up or down from what they were for this application period?
