So there is a job fair that I would like to attend tomorrow from 9-12. I am working tonight. Would it be ok to attend right after work in my scrubs. Or should I go home shower and get dressed in interview attire and then go. I'm just worried if I go home and shower. I will be too tired to go and want to go to bed.

I would attend in business attire.

Do not go in scrubs. Job fairs are mini interviews.

Business attire and professionalism will make the best impression. However, if you would be too tired if you went home to shower and change how are you going to look/feel/act you best at the job fair post working an overnight shift? Something to consider if cleaning up & dressing professionally might result in further exhaustion perhaps find another job fair where you don't work the night before.

I would definitely take the time to go home, shower and change into business/professional attire. At the very least I would go home and freshen up and change clothes. Most of us don't look our best after a night shift, I know I don't.
Remember.....you only get one chance to make a first impression :)

and take the time to bring your name and address and contact number on separate pieces of paper. For instance, return address labels you stick on a card and then add your phone number. Good luck!

I would treat it like an interview. Do not go in scrubs. Wear business attire and like a PP said bring something similar to a business card. Best wishes.

Scrubs & unshowered vs showering & dressing professionally...
Split the difference... Wash up in a remote washroom at work, change clothes and go and get it done.
Or or since job fairs are often at hotels...wash up and change there.

This. Remember, you are selling yourself to these organizations. Your first impression can be what helps get your resume to the next stage...or sends it straight to the circular file. And don't think that your appearance doesn't affect that in any way.
But your post is dated yesterday, so the fair was today...you've already made your decision and gone to the fair. Hope it went well.

I went to one in scrubs because I had to go right away to my job. I also manned a table at my current job (the same one I attended in scrubs). I can tell you what I thought about seeing someone in scrubs; I thought they obviously felt it was important to not call in to come. They care enough about a pay check, their coworkers, their pts to either come right after work or before work. Showed me they are dedicated.

I disagree with most of the PPs. I would have no problem interviewing someone in scrubs, whether they came from a shift or weren't even scheduled to work that day. Scrubs are an appropriate attire for work, therefore they should be an appropriate attire for an interview. My manager does not work the floor or ever touch patients, but he wears scrubs to work every day.
Of course, be neat and clean. Freshen up your makeup if you wear it, straighten your hair. It's not acceptable to look as if you've just worked 14 hours, even if that is the case.
