Gifts from students

So, the holiday treats and little gifts are rolling in this morning - not so much for me, the sub, but lots for other office staff - what are some favorites you've been given over the years?

As a parent to an elementary aged child, I often wonder what I could give that isn't triplicate of other things they've received, and also won't break the bank.

From the kids here...NADA!

The nurses are supposed to get gifts???? :woot: In 12 yrs I've gotten 3. The first from a teacher was a Cambells Soup gift pack. I'm still using those soup mugs! The second was a decorative candle set. Pretty. Finally, I had a student bring me some homemade baked goodies one time but I couldn't bring myself to eat them. I appreciated the thought though. I just didn't know how clean they were.

I've been gifted heavier this year than I'd expected. I've gotten gift cards anywhere from $5 to $30! For places like Starbucks, Zaxby's, Kohl's and Ulta. Oh my, I LOVE Ulta!!

Today I got some beautiful ornaments, a Yankee candle, a scarf, and homemade stovetop potpourri (love that stuff, too!). I haven't gotten homemade treats but I wouldn't turn sweets away right now!

You have a nearby Zaxby's!? Lucky duck!!!

My favorite gift from a student was an ornament. It was a ceramic nurses hat that said "Nurse Sully" with a drop down heart that said "#1 Nurse 2015". It is adorable, the same kiddo included a very nice gift card to his family pumpkin patch for next fall.

I got lots of candy, cookies, and cards. And a couple of mason jar meals.
