Gah, is it just me or is this class a LOT of work?! Seems to be much more time consuming than other ones I've had, and many more assignments per week.

I posted a discussion post but haven't started on the assignment yet - wicked case of the zzzzzz's applying myself to this class. Need to snap out of it!!

Have you taken family nursing yet? I found that one to be very time consuming, especially the family case studies! I literally would spend all week working on the case study questions then 30-60 minutes on my discussion post.

Speaking discussion posts, I still need to do mine for Gerontology as well as the assignment. But, after reading the articles, the assignment doesn't seem all that bad. And, the next doesn't seem too horrible either...at least I hope they aren't!

This is my 5th class and it seems the first week can be the trickiest. It seems a lot has to do with figuring out what the TA wants in your papers. Last class I got HAMMERED on my first paper but managed to pull my grade up. There isn't a lot of consistency among TAs. I'm gonna pound out that assignment today while I still have some time to tweak it before it's due. Okay everybody...dig in!

I agree 100%. The first week/assignments have been the worst. I usually get my worst discussion board grade, etc. the first week. After reading the TA's feedback, you get a sense of what they are looking for so you can make sure to include it in future assignments.

I'm right there with you. What's making it even more challenging is that I'm away on business again this week (was gone all last week and only home Sat & Sun). On the road, we work 12 - 14 hour days, which doesn't leave a lot of time for school assignments. I wrote one para of my discussion so far and wont' get back to the hotel until about 8PM tonight. Hopefully finish it before falling asleep. Maybe I can work on the assignment on the plane ride back Friday night. . .

So why am I wasting time on AN?

I was so gung-ho my first 5 weeks last month! Taking my first two nursing classes...I had everything done by Wed each week.

Now, I am already jaded and burned out avoiding this assignment like the plague. Well, today is the day. But, maybe tomorrow................................
