Hello everyone. I just applied for admissions for the fall 2011 program a couple weeks ago.
Has anyone esle applied as well? If so what is your GPA and ACT score if you don't mind me asking.
My gpa is a 3.0, or higher because I have grades that have not posted, and I took the ACT over 13 years ago with a score of 18.
Thanks

To my understanding all students will be attending the Rome campus. I had a problem with my application so I called the school. When I got someone on the phone they told me they were not sending anyone to the Marietta campus this fall. I think somebody in the fb group said it would be addressed on July 20th.
Hi class,
@candygirl, I did not have any problem getting any of the information they needed. I am done with everything and am waiting for the 20th.
I heard that marietta is not an option for this year. It seems like we all want to go there.
The drive to Rome isn't a bad one. It is about an hour and 15 minutes from Canton going 20. The way i look at it is when we car pool that is study time before and after. It can actually work in our favor. We are going to be spending alot of time together so it will all work out in the end.
Buford is a long way away however think of the rewards when you finish. Maybe your clinicals can be closer to home. Don't give up, talk about it on the 20th. I am so excited and can't wait to meet all of you.
Thanks everyone for your response. Unfortunately, I had to turn it down. Right now, that is just something I cannot do (the drive). One thing I considered was starting at the campus in Rome and then going to the Marietta campus once they opened it. She said I could not do that, I had to finish where I started. I asked if there were any plans to open the Marietta campus back up and she said there are no plans as of now but that doesn't mean it won't happen. I was very sad to turn it down but hopefully someone else will get the opportunity and everything will work out. Someone please let me know if she says anything else about the Marietta campus at orientation. Good luck to you all!
Hi all, and congrats to those that got in. I am so happy for you guys! I am going to apply for the spring 2012 class so maybe I'll meet some of you one day. I was planning to apply to Chatt tech, but they are postponing their spring class. I would rather go to Highlands anyways, it was just the drive that was has deterred me. It will be so worth it though. Even if I don't get in for spring, I will reapply for fall. I am having trouble finding out if my classes will all transfer. I am taking my final three prereqs this fall at Chatt (nutrition, humanities, history), but am having a really hard time finding out if everything else will transfer (all other classes from chatt as well). The Highlands website list transferable classes, but all of the course names are different now. For example, my a&p classes are BIO2113/2114 and the website list 193/194 (which are actually the lower level classes required for LPN's - they don't even have a lab component). I called Ga Highlands and no one can tell me anything. It's annoying b/c I really really want to get in. I'm wondering if any of you have taken classes at Chatt, and if they all transferred ok?
My other question is if anyone has a good idea as to how competitive this Spring will be? I have a 4.0 in my sciences and math, 3.4 overall. TEAS V score is 91%, SAT 1310. My SAT is from 1997 so I don't know if it has to be recalculated or not. Any idea if these are good enough for Spring admission? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
With those scores and grades you won't have a problem. They use a worksheet score to decide you can find online and calculate score. Last spring 1000 and above got in. Call and talk to a nursing advisor they can tell you all you need to know. I know a great one who helped me tremendously. I would tell her name, but i am not sure if it is appropriate to mention on here, so call and ask for nursing advisor.

That would be nice, If they would transfer to Marietta for second semester. Hopefully they will touch on that subject on the 20th. Drive from Kennesaw is not that bad though, of course im right @ Wadegreen and 75, so I hit 75 and am in Cartersville in 15 mins. I hope it all works out for you all!
