Georgia Highlands College Fall 2011

Hello everyone. I just applied for admissions for the fall 2011 program a couple weeks ago.

Has anyone esle applied as well? If so what is your GPA and ACT score if you don't mind me asking.

My gpa is a 3.0, or higher because I have grades that have not posted, and I took the ACT over 13 years ago with a score of 18.

When you say bundle are you talking abput the 500 dollar bundle at bookstore is 200?

Pharmacology according to the list is suppose to be 7th edition and the drug guide is supposed to be ninth, have to ask them if older version will do, Im not sure. Did you get the lists at the keys to success? with coupon bundle is 450.

When I was talking about the bundle, I thought it was the fundamentals with the mosby CD rom....I have the books list but somehow when I put the ISBN on amazon, different editions would come up for pharmacology and mosbys drug guide for nursing.

I think they have different isbn's if they are part of are not part of bundle(little confusing). I was just gonna buy bundle from school for 450 to be on safe side then get the rest of required on line, kind of on aa as needed bases.

I know we cannot view vista til one week before class, Im assuming power points to review before class are on vista. Does anyone know we need to review anything before first class? as far as power points?

I'm not sure if we need to review anything before the first day of class but that makes me wonder because of the sheet they gave out that showed what we will cover the first week.

Hi all,

I got a question about the weighted tuning tool. Does anyone know which frequency of weight we need? 128 or 256. It wasn't clear which one.

To all that is looking for the bundle on amazon or else where, remember that the books can be purchased on line but it will not come with the ebook/audio componant unless you get the bundle from the schools bookstore. Amazon does have the books that are needed but not the ebooks. Please take caution and speak to someone that knows for sure. The best bet is to email the representative that spoke to us on the 20th.

Chatt does not offer a nutrient class it is only for the LPN program. Most of the courses do transfer but again I can not stress enough to speak to an adviser.

Me personally I am ordering the bundle from the bookstore and getting everything else on line to save where I can.

I am very interested in study groups so please keep me in the loop on when and if they take place. I live in Canton. Thank you......

I think it was said to make sure we got the editions that they specified because if they tell us to go to a page in a book it might be different using a different version.

I sent email to see if any review of power points is needed before first class. When I recieve a re-ply I will mention it here. Im doing clinical and nclex question review as soon as book arrives. Maybe we should consider exchanging info with 4 are 5 peeps in area to start study group. Then we can have like an email list between group, or whatever works. I study hard and know time is valuable and will always try to be as direct and efficient as possible in study groups, prefer to be surrounded with positive/non-gossipers if possible.

I have no idea on weighted ruling tool, Is that part of assessment kit or something?
