Hello everyone. I just applied for admissions for the fall 2011 program a couple weeks ago.
Has anyone esle applied as well? If so what is your GPA and ACT score if you don't mind me asking.
My gpa is a 3.0, or higher because I have grades that have not posted, and I took the ACT over 13 years ago with a score of 18.
Thanks
Yeah that one should work fine. The name change is a long story. We never used the cover, but I am not saying you don't need it. I did buy all of my stuff separately because the quality of the equipment you receive in the assessment kit is pretty poor, or at-least it was last year. I purchased all of my stuff from allheart.com and have been happy with my equipment.
Yeah that is what I did. I just purchased everything last night. I was just uncertain about the weighted tool. Why do we have to buy the iv and suringes? I think that is odd. Ok but odd. Did you get all your books from the bookstore or did you shop amazon. The package bundle comes with ebooks. did any of the books come that way without the bundle? Just curious. I need to email that rep but I know you are going through it now.
@ sweetnlow We don't have any reading assignments or power before first classpoints to review. once info is availible vista we need to do the Start Here portion, introducing yourself, the schedule, and the forms, we will need to print and bring with us to the first day of class. The instructors don't get back to school from the summer until August 11th, so it won't be until after that before any content information or reading assignments will show up.
How do you know what is all included in the assessment kit and how much it costs(if you buy separately). Also Can Gypsy Rose point me in right direction about a stethoscope. I was gonna use cheapy from school first semester, then invest in a good one next semester, for some reason I thought is kind of what they said to do at keys to success. Any suggestions?

We got a sheet the listed the books with the ISBN number on it. Turn it around and it will state what each kits contains. I went to allheart.com site and ordered them seperatly. I ordered a good stethoscope because I plan to use it for a long time. Also it was a gift from my parents.
I purchased my books online from various resources, (Amazon, half.com, and craigslist) it was just the cheaper route for me. You do want to make sure you have your fundamentals book very early, you will need it!
I purchased a Littman, and I LOVE IT...
The stethoscope that comes in the kit is horrible in my opinion. I mean it works, but the ear pieces hurt they are made of hard plastic, and I could not believe the difference in hearing in mine & and a classmates. Needless to say when they heard mine they went and got a Littman. Some people say they are worried about losing it, but I am the type of person that keeps up with my stuff, and I had my name engraved on it.
The main components in the kit, are a penlight, ruler, tuning fork, BP Cuff, Stethoscope, and bandage scissors.
The IV kit you need for when you start IV's, and give shots to on one another. Do not open the package, it needs to be sterile.
Many of my classmates got this Littman
