Specializes in 5 yrs OR, ASU Pre-Op 2 yr. ER.

I liked the Taber's one, myself.

Specializes in OB-Gyn/Primary Care/Ambulatory Leadership.

I have Taber's.

Specializes in LTC.

They recommend Tabers for us too

Specializes in Critical Care / Psychiatry.

Taber's 19th for us. I love it. Easy to use and invaluable for all of my classes.

Shel

Specializes in Adult Med-Surg, Rehab, and Ambulatory Care.

Taber's here too!

Specializes in Gynecology/Oncology.

I know this isn't a choice for you, but for anyone else reading this that gets to pick whatever, DO NOT get Webster's med. dict. I bought the newest edition, and there have been several words I've looked up that aren't even in there.

Tabers, Tabers, Tabers:)

Tabers.....it has helped me in every single one of my classes AND clinicals

Taber's was recommended for us to get.

Taber's here too

Specializes in Geri, psych, TCU, neuro--AKA LTC.

I have both Mosby's and Taber's, and actually use the Mosby's MUCH more often. You may be able to thumb through them in the bookstore or college library before you buy.

It's the Mosby's Medical, Nursing & Allied Health Dictionary. ISBN: 0323014305.

Available on Amazon starting at $24.95 used.

The reason I use it more often is that it explains disease states, medications and their uses, medical words, and LOTS of pictures of clinical conditions.

It's ultimately your choice but the little voice in my head keeps saying "Why limit yourself to only one..."
