Because I'm graduating and getting pinned Friday night!!!!!! :mortarboard:I am so excited I can think of nothing else. I know I posted a similar post a couple of weeks ago but it's so close now and I'm both happy and sad. Now what? lol I'm going to miss my friends (and school, ironically) so much. :o I went back to college at 29 years old with 4 boys and a husband, along the way my 4 y/o son got leukemia and is in complete remission and now I am graduating and although I've thought this is the worst year I've ever had, it's really all I can ask for isn't it?

I did it. I actually accomplished one of my goals in life, one of the biggest goals. It's more than becoming a nurse to me....it's everything. Proving myself, setting an example to my children, pushing through all the bad no matter how difficult. I am proof that anything is possible if you want something bad enough. I am proud. Proud of my family who has supported me whole heartedly, my classmates who drudged through this with me, proud of myself.

A school friend of mine and I made a video/slideshow for our pinning and I think it's great. It's really all about friendship. If you'd like to see if you can check it it out on my blog. (Check my stats for the address).

Anyway..I just had to share my elation, trepidation and excitement.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. :Santa5:

First, let me say I am happy that your son is in remission. Next, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, I think your fellow classmates will love the video. Especially you putting the family pics in it. Family gets us into and through so much.

Again, CONGRATS :balloons::balloons::balloons:

Specializes in med/surg, telemetry, IV therapy, mgmt.

Good luck to you, kiddo. You're learning, however, is not going to stop. In fact, a new era of learning is just beginning. You still may need to access some of the information on the stickys in the student forums. New concerns will now be organizing and prioritizing your time at your new job and mastering skills you only got a few chances to do (if at all) in nursing school.

Congratulations and good luck in your first job. :smiley_aa
