I honestly think you've already decided and just want to make sure there's not something you're missing. Do what makes you happiest, and don't feel like you're making a life long change here.
I've had jobs I hated that paid well, and jobs I loved that paid less. The wear and tear on your body and spirit aren't worth the money when there's job available where you'd be happier. 6 days a week sounds like a lot, but without knowing a whole lot of personal information about you, I couldn't say yea or nay.
Good luck whatever you decide, and a long happy career.
Thanks everyone for your replies. To answer some of your questions of why I would need to work 6 days a week....well, a lot of you would think I'm crazy. The new job I'm at pays me $3 less an hour and $5 less an hour if I went to days. The job I left was one of the best paying jobs around this area for LPNs. Of course, it was also very stressful and I couldn't stand my DON, so I left after a notice. I'm much happier now even though I don't get paid as much. : )

I have a tough decision to make. I am currently working 2, 16 hr shifts at my new job. Well, a great first shift position has just popped up and I love the unit manager. It would pay $2 less an hour. To make up for it, I plan to work an easy job, 12 hour shift every sat or sun. So, I would actually be working more hours and days to make up for the decrease in pay. The 16 hours are killing me though, at least on Sundays.
What would you do?
