What does your screenname mean?

I hope this is a topic which hasn't been posted on before. I did a search for the word screenname and came up with nothing, so let me be the one who starts this one up. How did you come up with your screenname? Is it simply just where you work and/or part of your name, or is there some more creative background to it?

Mine is simple. I'm a psych RN, and 03 is the year I signed up on this board. Normally I try to come up with some creative screennames, but I guess I just wasn't feeling real creative that night.

Now your turn. I'd love to hear from y'all.

EDIT: I found that someone just yesterday responded to this same type of thread started in '01. :o :imbar So feel free to let this thread die a slow agonizing death. Or better yet, endulge me with some responses. :D

Hi! Mine's pretty simple too---it's based on the fact that I ride a motorcycle--a Kawasaki Vulcan Drifter 1500--i.e., "drifter" and, of course, I'm a nurse(LPN). I think it's a great topic and hope you get a lot of replies!:)

It's my initials

Here you go! Of course if you searched under "username" instead of "screenname" you would have found it. It was started a couple of years ago, but has been posted on as late as this week! LOL

My name is unimageable because my real username, "Tweety", was taken. Tweety is my pet name that my spouse gave me and calls me because I'm so tweet, I mean sweet. :)

I'm an avid snowboarder and love the snow. Not too much creativty on mine I suppose

Mine might suggest that I care for the elderly..........??? Well, some of my patients are elderly, but considering the fact that I'm a really, REALLY proud grandma of 3 and they call me Nanna (lately they have shortened it down to Nannie........and.......if I've done something 'wrong'....it's just 'Nan) that is why I picked it.

My 6 y/o granddaughter tells everybody she is going to be a doctor just like her Nannie. I told her that I'm not a doctor, I'm a nurse and she looked at me with her huge blue eyes, cocked her head to one side and replied, 'Oh, that's even better 'coz the nurses do all the work anyway'..........how's that for an IQ that is off the scale???????????? :rotfl:

Mine is "zenman." Get it? :coollook:

I'm not exactly creative, so it's no suprise that mine is just what I do....I'm a Neuro ICU Nurse!

Hey NannaNurse.....that's actually what I figured yours meant! I never considered the idea that it could have meant that you nurse the elderly! :)

Great thread....I always enjoy looking at people's screennames and trying to figure out what they mean, or what they could mean!

wow-- all these wholesome screennames, reflecting healthy interests. whereas mine's the name of a murderess in a shirley jackson novel!

Mine is for my son Nathan I think he is great! as you can probably tell :)

When I first bacame a member here I worked as a nurse at a boarding school. It seemed that I was always instructing the kids to wash their hands. The phrase stuck with me.

mine is just my name becky. mc for my last name and I am a RN
