Hi - I hope this is the forum that will be seen by the most nurses in general, and especially nurses who work with diabetics and diabetic educators. The name of the company is Armed for... Read More

P_RN, Hi. I just went there and downloaded. I think it's going to work perfectly. I really don't need the info on my palm, this will work better, since the info is already on the onetouch, and I can just fill in the meds and carbs, etc., when I get back to my desktop.

Apparently the company are receiving emails. I actually think it's just one person - and I was probably his first and last customer! I think it's really nice that some of you wrote to support my point of view, and I appreciate it.

I truly did not post this in hopes that this would happen, as I know it takes time and effort. And I think the guy is getting defensive, and I'm getting the refund! Yay. Thanks for your help!

I just wish I'd never gotten involved. I have a sinking feeling that this guy has my personal information AND my credit card information. In my form requesting a refund from the download site, I made a note that I'd like to make sure that he does NOT.

I am a diabetes educator. Information noted and stored in my memory bank. Thanks for sharing. Glad you got your money back.

Dennie, sent a rather benign email to the company; this was the reply:

I consider this harassment. I never talked to you about anything. I know all to well about harassment/stalking laws. I suggest you cease and desist from this kind of action. Also you might want to pass this along to others. I am starting to compile a list of email addresses and I will be contacting the appropriate service providers Monday morning.

    What an utterly negative personality.

Dennie, I got the same response. Obviously, he has mistaken my dismay with his business response for harassment and obviously I am misunderstood if he thinks I am harassing him. I may just tell him that, too. My version of an "apology." (Sounds alot like his, eh?

Thanks for the warning. Never heard of this company but I surely won't do any business with them.

You are hitting them right where they live -- and you should! I wish there was a way to get the word out there more. Maybe a national better business bureau? They might be interested in the response you received.

Freakin' amateurs! How did they ever get in business anyway?

Maybe you could write back and request to speak to the manager or owner, or is there a phone number? They might be interested in that email too. I can't imagine that it was the OWNER who would write such a ridiculous thing!

Have you tried contacting Consumer Reports. I believe you have a valid claim, The product said it would do things that it did not do.

This is just another idea of somewhere to kick him in the butt.

    Good luck

I used your link and went to this web site and what appauls me the most is that he has Biblical verses and talks about FORGIVENESS ETC this I find terrible, I don't understand how anyone can speak to another person this way and do business this way and claim to be Christian He does use ebay there was a button there so make sure you rate him poorly there to save another person from going thru this..... I did't even realize that I had this site bookmarked for the prayer program I certainly won't buy it from him now, Rhonda

    Thanks so much, everybody.

I've kind of gone back to my normal, apathetic state. I think I've decided that this is some 13 year old monkey-child, and he's thrown this program together because something bad happened to his family and they can't afford to give him his allowance any more.

I almost don't have the heart to finish going after the refund. *sigh* Now I'm feeling sorry for him.

Denny, don't feel sorry for him. He did throw a program together which did not work, and he probably didn't expect anyone to complain.

I showed this to my husband, he says it is fraud. Taking money for something that does not work. If he was reputable, he would have suggested he was working on a fix, and offered you your money back.
