And once again I am reminded what a great deal of peace of mind it brings me for just $89/year.

Just a reminder to those that don't carry it - please do so - students, too!

Assuming that one works 52 weeks a year, 40 hours each, that $89.00 comes to a little over four cents per hour. Given the responsibility that a nurse assumes every time he/she goes to work, I don't know how anyone could sleep at night without professional .

Caveman, I never thought about it in terms of four cents and hour. Thanks for making it an even better deal than it already was! :)

It does seem like money well spent, and like other policies I have, I hope I never need to use it!

There's no reason NOT to get it. No your employer won't protect you. No you won't be more likely to get sued if you have it. No they won't go after deep-pockets. It is what will keep you from the absolute loss of everything material in your life.

Which company do you use?

As one of my instructors in nursing school used to say, " It would

behoove you to carry as we are all human."

It is the behoove word that made the sentence!!

Ditto :).

I originally checked with my car insurance co to see if they had any options (we also get our renter's insurance throught them) but they don't deal in that.

I use NSO also...haven't had to use it-knocks on wood- ..just a 'peace of mind thing'...even when you do everything right things go wrong sometimes..such is life..and Lord knows I'm farrrrr from perfect :)

I've had it since I graduated in 1977. I've never had to use it, but like the rest of you, I sleep better knowing it is there!
