I'd rather have people spell it incorrectly and understand exactly what the HIPAA law entails rather than knowing how to spell it and not grasping the concept.

That's exactly the problem.......I always forget what the initials stand for, therefore I often accidentally use two P's instead of two A's. I won't tell you what I mistake it for, but it's a reasonable substitution.
I'm also a person that is very picky about grammar, punctuation, capitalization, etc, so it's not like I'm just being careless in making the mistake. It's just an honest error, good grief. I'd rather do that than post like I'm texting on a cell phone.
