It's HIPAA, not HIPPA, darn it!
When it is posted here or on a blog, I have no issues with it. To me, this is a casual setting where I have less expectations. At work, of course, it should be spelled correctly. I do tend to place two 'p's , probably because of how it sounds. I am more careful in general on how I want my notes to appear in order to be taken seriously, but in our AN setting, not so much.
It's not such a big thing for me here, really. I am just happy to be able to converse with other nurses about issues that plague me.
true.but it would also lend us (nurses) more credibility when we can understand and spell the law, don't you think?
think about it: what would the 2nd 'p' stand for in "hippa"?
