I just happened to come across a past article on the CNN news website: Special Report - U.S. nursing shortage 'going into crisis' and it had a list of resources they used to obtain the info they needed to write it.
Along with the American Nurses' Association and the group of professional organizations it's leading - Nurses for a Healthier Tomorrow, as well as the National League of Nursing, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the American Hospital Association, and the American Organization of Nurse Executives, right there in the list of prestigious resources is ALLNURSES.COM. http://www.cnn.com/2001/HEALTH/05/07/nursing.shortage/
You've been recognized & identified by CNN as a reputable "source" speaking on the nursing profession!
Congratulations on what you have turned this little hobby of yours into!! :)

Good joB!!!!!!! Talk shows---yeah- how come they haven't had anything about this on a talk show. Iam going to Oprah. com and suggest it! We not only have a nursing shortage we also have a shortage of programs for inspired students. Our RN progam was full in Febuary for the fall program. You have to have your application in before November to be considered for next year!

Too bad it's old news/stats. Date of article is 5/8/2001. I bet the numbers are worse today.

Thanks for pointing that out again, I remember when that article was released, and thought it was pretty cool then and still do :)
