In our city everyone has to have all cars off the streets or they are towing and ticketing the cars.

Thanks for the pictures,RNConnieF!
We are out in the middle of nowhere here
and the deer have been out at the feeder
all day. We have gotten about 18". Not as
much as others, I am sure!!
These are the winters I remember as a kid!
We have gotten spoiled with the last few
mild winters.
It truly is beautiful but wish it wasn't such an
inconvenience especially for the elderly.
The ER will be full of MI's and broken hips today.

Well, in New Brunswick (Canada), we have between 4 and 6 feet of snow. The sidewalks are basically tunnels with walls that are for the most part over 6 feet tall. And we're likely to get more through the next month or more!!! Start shovelling.:)
LOL, Thanks. We live on one of those old fashioned, blue collar streets where people always fly flags. We had 3 full sized flag poles on the block before 9/11. The flags in the pic are flying from our porch railing, 4 front, 3 side. For holidays we put flags around the flower beds. You're not going to believe this but the snow plow just got stuck on our street. They gave up and backed back to the main road saying something about coming back with a back hoe and dump truck. We went through this in 96 and it took a week to get our street cleared. The boro hauled all the snow to the Little League fields and dumped it there. We had snow on the fields in May and we had to delay opening day. This in a town that shuts main street for the Little League Opening Day Parade!!
