strange question, i know. but do you? i just got home from work about an hour ago and i'm looking at my forearms and thinking i'm insane. i have 3 set's of vitals and a reminder to check room 5's IV at 2150. :chuckle

Nope. Never have. Can't stand it for some reason. (May go back to childhood when you used to get in trouble for writting on yourself). I use papertowels, alcohol prep pads, 2x2's. Have never used sheets as housekeeping doesn't allow it here.

We lab folks write on ourselves too. We wear plasticized paper lab coats and look like giant walls of graffiti most days. Very handy...and disposable at the end of the day!!!!

giggle! Me too! In my pocket it goes, too, and used on the next IV med (where did he go, where did he go...)

I keep a copy of my report sheet in my pocket for emergencies like this! I am known around the various units I go to as the "Neat Nurse." I bet my fiance wished I was that neat at home!

I tend to write notes on my hand and arns when I am not at work, because I someitmes wash my hands and think, ooops really should have written that down!

I write on gloves though, if I have them in my pocket, or just about every thing else, never seen anyone writing on sheets through.

When I wore scrubs, for a day in theatre, and in pacu, every one writes on the trousers and sleaves!

I am bad for scribbling on micropore and then sticking that on my top! normally when I have a notebook in my pocket the tape is just easier!

Oh man, I do that all the time! I thought I was the only one in the world who could write that small!;)

I write on my hands, arms, tape, especially the 2" silk. I have been know to write on the receipts from lunch...yeah I know "What lunch". and alcohol pads are great in a pinch.

My body is a walking temple. I do not defame my body with black ink.

:p

Seriously.

I hate stuff on my body. Hate sticky stuff. Hate ink. Its just one of my many neurosis, I guess!

Give me the paper!

Or computer!

I write on my hand all the time and if others say something about it, I just tell them it is my palm pilot.

I am always writing on my left hand - and then when it comes to washing them i am trying my best not to scrub off the reminders that I have written!!:chuckle

I use to, untill I recieved post-it note pad from one of the drug reps. I found it very usefull and it fits in my cargo pocket perfect without rubbing on my leg. Ofcourse that is after it has conformed to the shape of my thigh. I swear by them now.
