Do you wear certain scrubs on certain days?

Please. This school nurse is wearing her strawberry pink Urbanes like she does EVERY Wednesday.

I wore all black YESTERDAY because it was the first day back after a nice, long break. I was grieving.

Oh, and always funky colored Converse 'cause I'm cool like that.

:inlove:

Felt sorry for the yellow lab and let him come in for a bit while I got ready for work. Came out to the living room to find he'd chewed up one of my new Adidas mentioned above.

Out you go Rex.

I remember when my black lab visited the neighbors back porch and brought home a very expensive leather steel toed boot. Unfortunately, we didn't find it. The neighbor did. It no longer resembled the boot still on the porch.

Specializes in Corrections, Psych, Public Health.

We wear purple on Wednesdays-union color

Red on Fridays- I still haven't figured out why.

Currently at a peds clinic. Monday is black, Tuesday is gray (because it's still like Monday) on Wednesday we wear pink Thursday is super hero day and current Friday is blue Friday. Go hawks!

Specializes in Psych, HIV/AIDS.

Was it Sears that had the gur-animal (?sp?) brand? Why not a brand like that for us? It would make life so much easier to have fewer decisions to make.

At my hospital, we're color coded. Apparently it's so patients can more easily identify who's RN, CNA, RT, etc although I'm not sure it helps all that much. I like not having to decide what color to wear but it does get boring wearing the same thing all the time.

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

Let's see black or dark pants at "that time of the month" lol just in case. My favorite blue one when my crush is working.☺️

I am a nurse who works with veterans. The only time I wear specific scrubs at specific times (other than Christmas, obviously) is on Fridays. I always wear red on RED Fridays to Remember Everyone Deployed. Until they all come home!

Specializes in NICU, ICU, PICU, Academia.

Whoever decided on Royal Blue (or RoyalS Blue if you're in KC) is on my enemy list.

I was scarred for life by a bridesmaid dress in the 80's....... 'tea length', lace over satin, big a** bow right across my big a**. And what really makes it awful was that the marriage didn't last. It was my sister's first of FOUR marriages. Sheesh...

Specializes in Med-Surg, OB, ICU, Public Health Nursing.

I wore union scrubs if we had an event. When I worked in an office, just business casual. When I changed to hospital site, I was one of the only case managers who wore a lab coat. I wore the lab coat in house and in LTC and for home visits.

Once I forgot the lab coat and visited a special client with a checkered past. He said, "lady where is the white coat? You should be wearing that so they know I'm not talking to 5-0." From then on I made sure I had white coat.
