My last pre-req before I can put in my nursing application is General Biology. I was thinking about taking it over the summer, but I also work 40 hours a week, so I'd have to do the lecture online and labs on campus. Anyone else do this?

I wouldn't recommend taking any science pre-reqs in the summer.

I took chem over the summer. On line / on campus lectur. while working 40 plus hours. Totally doable. You will spend alot of time doing homework on the weekends.

I took general biology over summer semester last year, it was a seven week class. I worked M-F 8-430 and had class M-Th 5-9. It was hard but went SO fast! I ended up with an A in the class and plan to take another science pre-req this summer because I have found I excel in a fast paced high pressure class...never would've thought that! All depends on how you learn best!! Good luck :)

I say very doable. I am taking microbiology this summer.
Thanks! I feel much better now! I do have 2 kids but no homework for them in the summer so that'll be nice. I also completed a 10-month RMA program years ago so I'm hoping some of that will help come back to me. lol

I work 40 hours/week and took microbiology as a 5-week half-summer course (I took chemistry the other half!) to finish my prereqs in time. I did a lot of reading on the beach and my friends thought I was a loser, but I got an A- in both classes.

I did my anatomy and physiology 1 over the summer while working full time and it was totally worth it. It was tough, but it moves so fast, it's almost easier...just my experience. I got an A and i felt like i retained the information better because i was fully immersed in the material. for 8 weeks i ate, drank, slept and breathed A+P. I highly recommend knocking things out over the summer.

I'm doing A&P 1 over the summer; first 5 week session, and A&P 2 second 5 week session. My classes are Monday-Thursday 10:30am-3:30pm. I also work full time. My boss is kindly enough to let me come in at 6, leave to go to class, and come back to close after class. It's going to be rough, but I have no choice. EEEEEK! :/
I can see that. I'm doing night classes now since I work during the day and it stinks having to wait all weekend plus Monday to get back to the material. Depending on how I do with Biology over the summers might start looking into the shorter sessions.
Short sessions are a god send!!!! Those are the only classes I take!!
