What's the funniest most unusual baby name?

Nurses Humor Nursing Q/A

As many of you know by now, Kim Kardashian had her baby. As if you couldn't miss all the annoying coverage over every single detail. They named that poor kid North West. What are some of the funniest/weirdest/most unusual baby names you have seen? Could be a patient or someone you know in your personal life. And if you are someone with one of those odd names did you just learn to live with it or would you change it.

I wonder if anybody has named their three sons Larry, Darryl, and Darryl. I guess I had better head to snopes.com to find out.

I agree I wish there wasn't a PVT at all. Should be like the good ole days were you got your results in the mail.

Not a peds nurse but saw someone with the name BMW. I thought it was initials. Um no that's their first name. And no, they weren't a patient.

My initials were almost BMW but my dad didn't want me named after a car. Instead, I'm BTW.

To add my own unusual names, my aunt told me years ago how some people named their daughters Ima Hooker and Ura Hooker. Supposedly their last nsme was Hooker so...

Went to middle school with sisters named Jellybean and Lollipop.

In the news this morning is a man arrested for distribution of a controlled substance with the name Rockus Roland...why do ppl do that to their children??

My lawyer father represented a young man who desperately wanted a name change. His first name was his mother's maiden name plus his dad's last name. Put 'em together folks... Fuller Krapp.

His chosen name was John Smith, which the court willingly approved.

I don't blame him one bit. The reason my twin sister changed her name to Cheyenne Souix was because she had poor initials for her name too. They were FU.

The mom and two sisters are all named Mickey? Really? Is this a nickname for two or more different names? Is it just an online anonymity thing? Or is this another George Foreman situation?

So far I have seen a Pepsi, Beautiful ( works in the lab), Twinkles (called me from the newspaper to offer a subscription), the repetitive names like Ali Ali, etc (really?), we also have a La'Aqua too.

What about the race car driver Dick Trickle? Penn Jillette's daughter Moxie Crimefighter, Gwenith Paltrow's daughter Apple, Frank Zappa's kid Moon Unit.

I have also seen on the news a kid named Lion King. I can't think of any others right now.

He took his life recently. Very sad.

But I digress...

Native American by chance? I grew up with a friend that had a normal first name, but also went by a similar Native American name.

My friend is a teacher and had twin girls in her classroom named Daquiri and Margarita.

Margarita is popular in Spanish culture; its translated as Margaret or Marjorie

I saw something saying a Las Angeles woman may have named her twins orangejelo and lemonjelo after Freakonomics came out... (someone find me the facepalm please)

What is it about Michigan? Weird! But "Lemonjelo" turned up "0."

And my first name is shared by nearly a million others. Ugh.

July4th. Yep, she had a number in her name.

In the USA it is not legal to name a child or change your name to a curse word or use a number. You can use the name "Ten or Seven" but not "10 or 7"
