What's the funniest most unusual baby name?

Nurses Humor Nursing Q/A

As many of you know by now, Kim Kardashian had her baby. As if you couldn't miss all the annoying coverage over every single detail. They named that poor kid North West. What are some of the funniest/weirdest/most unusual baby names you have seen? Could be a patient or someone you know in your personal life. And if you are someone with one of those odd names did you just learn to live with it or would you change it.

....and there's another urban legend post about fictitious twins, yet again. Sigh.

I have found no reliable evidence of Lemonjello and Orangejello...but I have verified the existence of an "Orange" and a "Lemontee" in my area. Not twins, not related at all, but the closest we have around here even though I've heard the urban legend myself from two different sources.

A pair of siblings at my kid's elementary school named Dragon and Diamond. Not sure what was up with that family, but poor Dragon looked like he had some rare genetic thing wrong with him (his eyes didn't open properly so he was always peering up at you weirdly). As if the kid didn't have enough going wrong, they just had to stick him with a 'pick on me' name.

And my best friend from childhood named her kids D'Artagnon and Jocelyn, yup, guess which movie was their fave?

Twins I babysat: wednesday and juniper. Their younger sister Zia Raspberry

Another one is friend of mine. She's been called Kara all 23 years of her life, but when she went to get her birth certificate at 18, she found out her parents never registered her name, so legally she was"baby girl". Apparently not an uncommon occurrence around here

Going for a third post hahaha. My sociology teacher told us today (coincidentally) that when she was working in a step up program for teens who had committed crimes in NC, she had twins there named oranjello and lemonjello... I don't know why she'd make that up...

Specializes in Emergency.

I have had La-sha (say Ladasha) Ta, (say Tacoma) and Sha' (say Shapostrophe) I mean, REALLY? what are u thinking? And my fave: a real BAD epileptic that we ALWAYS have to restrain ... De'mon (we say Demon)

The janitor at my son's preschool was named Orange. They had the kids call the staff by Miss/Mrs/Mr , so he was called "Mr. Orange", but Orange was his legal first name (I actually asked, because I was curious if it was a nickname).

My mother wanted to name me Solitaire Marie, story behind it I was born on July 4th, Independance day and my mother thought Solitaire, was the perfect name. To her it had a meaning of independence and one. Well luckily my father told her he would divorce her if she really named me that. So my name turned out to be Jessica Lynn. Thank you Dad for saving me a legal name change!! Lol!

My high school principal: Richard Dengle. Kids liked to call him Dick just to be clever. Ha

Brothers: Roch (pn rock) and Brick.

Husbands cousin: QT (pn cutie)

I worked in the newborn nursery as a cna for a year. There really are some wacko names out there! I forgot most of them. Just remember reading the lists and laughing.

Same reason as every other person who has ever passed on this ridiculous story. One of those things people who study human behavior have worked on for years!

Yep, variations ARE out there. But these supposed twins, who have been "sighted" for something like forty years?? Please.

For all those who still think these twins exist (and many sets, yet, for the several decades the story's been floating around), all one has to do is do a Google search. Do your OWN name, and I'll bet you'll pull up a White Pages entry, something on a cheesy fact-finders site, facebook, some article you were quoted on a few years ago, you name it. Now do your sister, your best friend. Got entries on all of them, I'd be willing to bet.

And yet people with this set of names has never, not once, been found live?

And another thought: snopes.com did research on this, and found that there was not one single "La-a" (Ladasha) in the US Social Security system. Something like 4,000 named Lea, but not one La-a. No one with that name has been issued a social security number (which everyone now receives at birth, and has for like fifty years).

Tells ya something.
