Well the Harvest Moon really stirred things up on my floor Monday night- it was absolutely and completely insane. Who am I kidding- the entire hospital was sheer madness!
Did anyone else experience the Monday 'lunacy'?

Well I could not agree with u more. It was a miracle that all pts were safe and no incident reports. It was pure chaos bed alarms going off everywhere..... I will leave it at that

I'm at a cabin far away from the chaos, took my comforter out to the hammock, after a moonlight swim. It's absolutely gorgeous with the scent of woodsmoke and the stars are visible. Overhead I see airplanes, and I bet everyone on the plane is wishing they had some fresh air and even an extra inch of legroom. If I get chilly, I think I'll build a fire and get some hot tea and a good book.
Sucks to be you guys. I'm sending hugs (heehee!)

I didn't experience latest one, but full moons never get by our unit. It's like the patients see something shining outside their windows and say "what's that I see? A full moon? My nurse doesn't look busy enough. Let me give him/her something to do"

Nope. Even my pts without a psych hx were displaying bizarre behaviors.

They all came out, put on their tin foil hats and gave us babies! Never fails with a big full moon!

It was one of the craziest nights we've had in a while...we didn't even realize it had been a full moon until the next day, then it alllll made sense.
I looked out the window in the middle of the shift and confirmed it; one of my coworkers asked within the first hour of the shift.
