FSCJ Summer 2014 Hopefuls

Published

Hello, everyone!

Since I have not seen one started on this site, I thought I would go ahead and get the ball rolling. This thread is for anyone hoping to get into FSCJ's Nursing Program for the term starting in the Summer of 2014.

MaleCNA84 I think it will be sooner than that. I am guessing by the end of next week. Last term started getting letters 18 days after the deadline.

AHHH! I am so excited and nervous, can't wait any longer!!!!

Hi Kjkkm,

I was told by advisors from JU and UNF that working through the program is not advised.

I have decided not to work and focus on school but i do want hospital experience so after my 2nd term was thinking about applying as a patient care tech at all the hospital to see if I can get on. Are you working and going to school?

Alright, It is the 18th. Spring took 18 days after deadline to get their packets. Where are ours!:nailbiting:

Last summer it was Feb 28th...I've been trying not to stalk my mailman until after then. Lol :-)

Im thinking it may be around the 27th or perhaps the first week in march when we get ours.

I am so trying not to think about it. I hope it's this week??!! Let's see who the first person is to post their acceptance.

Random question guys: How long is the NAT? How many sections does it have? Do they give you a certain amount of time per section or is the test timed as a whole? Also do they accept walkins or just appt?

I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE PACKET!!!!!!!! Yay, I'm so excited. Check your mail!!!

Totally just kidding..... ;) It's cruel, but I really couldn't help but messing with everybody that stalks this thread (like I do).

This is from the college website:

Each of the five main parts of the NAT is timed as follows: academic aptitude - 30 minutes; spelling - 15 minutes; reading comprehension - 20 minutes; information in the natural sciences - 30 minutes; vocational adjustment index - 15 minutes.

Hope that helps, you'll be at least 31/2 hours between getting set up and paid for and getting your results. The sections that are longer have more questions; for most sections you have like an average of 20 seconds per question (or something ridiculous like that) if you want to be able to finish. I think you can walk in, but I would really just make an apt. to be sure. It's really easy you just do it online through testing and assessment.

LOL! I thought it was good-natured enough since I admitted I was fibbing before anyone could actually go check their mailbox.
