  1. I will give a break down of my thoughts during the NAT. Reading comprehension- I think that I only got through 2 different paragraphs with answers from those paragraphs, before I started to run out of time, and just "C"ed my way out. (hit the letter C for every problem). There were several questions for each paragraph. I ended up with 80th percentile. I think I should have read the paragraph and then answered the questions. Instead I read the answers and skimmed the paragraphs, which I think was detrimental. Academic Aptitude: This section had to do with distinguishing the difference between meanings of words, math problems, and how shapes relate to each other. Meanings of words: Questions went something like: ugly, revolting, gross, beautiful. You have to guess the one that doesn't fit. Math: fractions/ add, subtract, mult,divide/ and word problems like if you make this amount per year, and taxes are taken out, how much did you make?Shapes: IfI is to i, than L is to l. Just make sure you pay attention to the shapes that are shown and even the dots or shading inside of the shapes. It is a very "Pay attention to detail", test. Information in Natural Science: This section seemed to be about light Chem, cell biology, very little anatomy, energy, voltage, mitosis, proteins, DNA, Krebs Cycle, elements, protons, solutions, acids, bases, solvents, and that kind of thing. I watched like 1 hour of you tube videos before I went. My recommendation for quick learning is "Biology Lectures- By The New Boston. This kid knows what he is talking about, and tries to keep it interesting in a fashion that is quick and to the point. Also he draws what he is talking about for all those visual types. He has like 50 five minute lectures about biology and chemistry. I earned a 101.76 out of 120 total. I am not that smart. I am 29, and have been in the military for the last 8 years. I just eliminated my answers, and if I was low on time, I just "C"ed my way out" meaning I clicked "C" for every answer I didn't have time to complete. Most science answers were like: What does a dog do: Scream, Squeal, Groan, Bark. Do what you know, but make sure you fill in every blank you can, since wrong answers do no hurt you.
  2. Hey Manny, I requested entrance for your facebook page. Joshua Frates is my name, nursing school is my game.
  3. No, they sure did not. They said Apr 4.
  4. Jfay, if your score is higher than 185.5 and you have not received anything you need to call or go in person. Today is the last day to accept your seat and Apr 4 is the last day to turn in your info like immunizations and stuff.
  5. I finally got a hold of someone at the nursing department. They told me to COME PICK UP MY PACKET AT THE OFFICE!!!!!!! It must have been lost in the mail. Thanks for everyone's support!!
  6. So, I went out to my mailbox today and found a small letter addressed to me from FSCJ. I opened it and it is an invitation to the commencement ceremony for people completing their degrees for the semester. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. I hope FSCJ's answering machines are on the payroll, cause they are the only thing answering my calls. Guess I'm going in person.
  7. I still have nothing, has anyone else not received anything.
  8. Thanks Retajet. They must have lost my packet. I know I made the cut, it is the most annoying thing on earth to continue waiting for nothing. I wish I would get some kind of letter. PS I hand delivered my packet and everything was Fine.
  9. 198. I'm completing micro right now.
  10. Would one of you please just send me a blank piece of paper addressed from The FSCJ Nursing Department, so I can pretend.
  11. Not yet. I will check the mail today and try to call.
  12. At this point Beatrice91, I would accept any letter. As for you, just keep moving forward and stay determined. The NAT is such a random test, I think that If I went in again maybe I would make a 70 rather than 101. It reminds me of the military advancement tests I had to take in the Navy. It was 200 questions of stuff and most only would know about 25% of the answers if that. It was mostly luck for who advanced. Of course studying and staying calm helps. You'll get your points.
  13. This is starting to seem ridiculous!
  14. I've never had to open my big mailbox so much since I've lived here. Still nothing except extra large packages that keep showing up.
  15. Jeez, you ladies are resourceful! Thanks for the info. I looked back an it looks like 5-7 days after the initial send out is the norm to get all packets sent out. The rest of us have hope!!!
