  1. Take the seat!!! That's just my opinion... save your money (unless money and time aren't a problem). JU is wayyyyy too expensive. UNF has an all online RN-BSN bridge (10 mo. I think) if you work in acute care.
  2. Good luck! If someone made a mistake in dealing with your application maybe they will extend your deadline.
  3. It says in the packet that the instructors like the Cardiology and that inexpensive stethoscopes will have a poor quality when trying to listen. Obviously what stethoscope you buy is up to personal choice, but I would rather not make learning any harder on myself. Hmm..
  4. I am already so confused about which stethoscope to get; the Littman Classic II SE is half the price of the Cardiology III and I'm wondering how much better it can really be.... Ugh, they both have great reviews. I want to get a good product esp. since I'm learning, but don't want to spent $160 if it's not that much better...
  5. I can't find it, maybe because it is so new or private or something. Can you send me a request to join?
  6. Got mine, N/W! Can't wait to meet everyone, esp. my N/W classmates. Trying to read my packet now; wow it's a lot. :) So grateful though.
  7. No such luck for me either... Do you know what time your mail usually comes? Mine comes a little later.
  8. Finally! I'm so excited! About to go check mine; my mailman doesn't usually come until 12:30. Maybe he comes earlier on Saturday? I hope so!!!!!
  9. Thanks! Yes I have a lot of fun new change to look forward to. Wow, three weeks! And I was worried about 8... I will be fine, I always tell myself that people do harder things everyday.
  10. I know how you feel, not that I'm in the exact same situation. I will be having my second child in 2 weeks, around March 21st, and I would really like to get most of my stuff done BEFORE the fact. lol That is why I am getting so antsy.
  11. Thank you and exactly, I just feel like this website is for us to talk each other up not to look down on people even if you think that is somebody that won't read it. It has nothing to do with my insecurity because I know exactly where I stand, but I just feel as future nurses we should have empathy and not a superior attitude.
  12. Do you learn well on your own? I am taking a professor online and it is great you just read the chapters, do the homework, and take the chapter tests. No midterm or final or proctored tests to go to like it states in the class description. I can message you his name, I don't think we're supposed to post them on the website.
  13. Okay, so let's make offensive blanket statements about people on a public forum? LOL. That to me is ignorance, but hey you seem to have it all figured out. Up until now nothing on this website has left a "bad taste in my mouth".
  14. The rest of that sounds crazy: BUT, I was a high school dropout; I am finishing my A.A. this semester, have a 4.0 college GPA, and applied to the nursing program with 235.2 points. So I am not exactly sure that statement is relevant... It's kind of offensive as my high school completion has absolutely nothing to do with my level of intelligence.
  15. Because they're profitable, lol.
