Okay here we are!!!!!!

Oh, Melissa, I was just going to wait to buy them via Amazon Student. That's happened to me twice before where I bought them ahead of time and the teacher changed the material for that term. That's my :twocents: anyway lol

12:30 works fine with me.

12:30 is great for me.

:D Love the :twocents:!

I think I am going to do the same. I am in a class right now at UNF and there was a book the syllabus said we needed but we never used it and we had our last test on Tuesday.

When I had my titers done at the clinic today, I forgot to ask when the results would be in. So for anybody else who didn't ask and wanted to know, she said we can usually pick up the results from them one week later, but call before we come to make sure they are in. She also said that they don't even receive the drug test results, that the lab they send it off to sends the results directly to the school in a couple days, so we won't have to pick those up or anything.

re: meeting

butterflymom graciously accepted our invitation to meet with us and share with us, and she also said she might bring a friend from class. i told her we would buy their coffee, pastry, whatever. i figure if everybody just chips in like 50 cents or a dollar, that would be more than enough. if not, i'll cover the difference.

what's funny is she said the 1st is the only day she could possibly do it, and she said that she can be there at 1:00. so i figure i'll get there about 12:45 or so and put a couple of tables together. she said she'll be wearing a pink fscj nursing t-shirt.

hope as many of you can make it as possible. see ya soon!!!! :lol2:

jenperez responded and said she can probably come, too!! we're going to be loaded with good advice and info :)

Marina,

Your post to Butterflymom under the Accepted Summer thread made me laugh. It is almost verbatim the PM I sent her when she agreed to come, including the word newbie (and that exact spelling, too!). Too funny :lol2:

:rotfl: LOL apparently great minds think alike

Natalie, thanks for setting up the meeting with the experienced nursing students. It will be nice to get a better idea of what to expect.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone on August 1st. I think I'm going to wear a name tag with my screen name :p

I turned in my appeal yesterday, before I got my acceptance package. Should I go back and show them my acceptance letter, because when I turned it in they asked if I had been excepted and I said not yet.

I was just going to wait to see, but they called me to go in and talk to an adviser (they had had my appeal less than a week.) I turn in all paperwork at north campus even though I live close to Kent. I could not get consistent answers at Kent about anything pertaining to the nursing program, so I just started driving to North campus instead. I would go to North campus with the acceptance letter and sign in to see an adviser, as they should be able to pull your appeal out and add the letter to it.

Is it a for sure thing that the tops have to come from Meridy's? Even if you purchase a white uniform top and put the FSCJ patch purchased separately from Meridy's on it? Thanks for clarification.

Yes, the uniform tops have to be from Meridy's. They have blue piping on the sleeves, are tailored and zip up the front... not a regular white scrub top. As unflattering as I imagined them being, they're really not that bad! :)
