FSCJ Fall 2010 ACCEPTED

Published

Okay here we are!!!!!!

Did anybody who went to the Northside Clinic for drug testing notice that they didn't ask about current medications? Am I the only one who didn't get asked? I am wondering if my prescriptions are going to monkey it up since they didn't ask me about medications I regularly take....................ugh!

Natalie, thanks for setting up the meeting with the experienced nursing students. It will be nice to get a better idea of what to expect.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone on August 1st. I think I'm going to wear a name tag with my screen name :p

My pleasure!! SaraFL is a maybe, too. She didn't get to go when they had their own meeting last term, so she would like to come. She's not sure if she'll be able to. She said put her down as a maybe. Hjhd doesn't think she'll be able to, but she will if she can.

I think the name tag is a great idea!! I think I'll make a little FSCJ Fall 2010 Accepted sign for the table, haha :nurse:

I said that exact same thing to Ladybug on our way home. I guess they're not looking for prescription drugs, but illicit ones. I wouldn't worry about prescriptions.

Well, I got a new to me 2003 mazda 6 today, so as long as my mom doesn't cancel on me for babysitting, I'll see you guys at Panera! I'm so glad I don't have to borrow her car to get to class like we had planned for the first couple weeks in case we couldn't find a second car in time. This has been an awesome good news week. :lol2: I don't even mind the pain in my arm and wrist, lol.

I wasn't asked about meds for the drug test either. The doc asked during my physical, but that's to be expected. My friend had once taken a drug test for a new job while she was recovering from a car accident. The just said if anything was detected, to bring in her Rx later. I don't know if that would be the case here or not.

I would like to sign up with you!

Heya! That's great! My schedule is flexible enough that I can sign up for a class whenever it's most convenient for you if a Saturday morning isn't convenient :) Otherwise, I'll call in the morning and see what kind of seats are available for Sat., July 31st, and post right after I find out. That's going with the AHA folks on Manchester Rd., if that's alright with you :)

Grats! That's wonderful!! Anything that will make the next 17 months easier is going to be such a boon to our success. We're in for quite a ride

I finally got a chance just a few minutes ago to look at the docs that Marina posted on dose calc, etc. I am so excited to finally be getting into the meat and potatoes of nursing. Prereqs were kind of boring :yeah:

Thank you for the information about the drug testing! Monaime, I signed up to take the July 30th CPR on the North Campus today. I am sorry..........on the 31st I have a closing ceremony for the Collegate Leadership Program. I apologize if this causes any problems. Goodluck!

I was just going to wait to see, but they called me to go in and talk to an adviser (they had had my appeal less than a week.) I turn in all paperwork at north campus even though I live close to Kent. I could not get consistent answers at Kent about anything pertaining to the nursing program, so I just started driving to North campus instead. I would go to North campus with the acceptance letter and sign in to see an adviser, as they should be able to pull your appeal out and add the letter to it.

W

Which appeal did u do? The appeal of loan limits or the 150% appeal? I went up to North Campus even though I live by South Campus & gave them a copy of the acceptance letter & she told me that the appeals are sent to downtown and they haven't even started processing them. Apparently the appeal of loan limits is new because the Gov't took over student loans. She said now that the Gov't took over student loans, they are going to be harder to get. I just hope my appeal is approved or I don't know what I'm going to do, because even if I get the worksource scholarship, I won't get it in time for books and classes, but I'm trying to remain positive & keep telling myself that it will work out.

I need to figure out a time this next week(I know you're working) to go and pay for all my other stuff(since you got the printer and all). Plus, I would love you always if you could make me copies of the stuff Marina posted. :redpinkhe:redpinkhe:redpinkhe:redpinkhe

Of course I will. And of course the week following acceptance I have to work in the office the WHOLE week (oh, sweet irony), but you could come over one day after I get home from work (Tuesday and Thursday are going to be pretty late) or tomorrow afternoon or anytime Sunday. Tomorrow morning I'll be finishing that rush job, and, even though I have the other two computers, of course both the printers are connected to the one I work on.

Omg, typing incessantly with a tetorifice shot arm is a real drag.

Oh not a problem at all! Good luck to you as well! =D

wait i'm confused... what date and time are we meeting?
