french nurse

hi!

I m a french nurse, I just come from France, my english is not very good but i'll try to do my best.

I'd like to have some informations about working in the UK, if you could advise me books or magazines to read in order to improve my english in the medical field because i d like to start working from the begining of January 2006.

In France i used to work in neonatal intensive care, i was super and I'd like to continue working in this departement, i love working with chidren or babies.

So, if you can help me giving me some book's references to read or...it will be very nice from you

as others have mentioned this has been answered a lot of times, but have a look at the sticky near the top of the page on resources you should find some websites which will help you.

Thanks for your answers, but i am already registered in the nmc, what i'd like to know is for example which book s should i buy in order to familiarize me with "english nursing"...

I understand yoru problem because i am french but i have spent all my adult life in London, i ve done my BSc Psychology in the UK as well, and everytime i wanna talk about a psychology topic with french people, i just can't find the french equivalent as i have never learnt it in the first place. They look at me weird and wonder if i really studied Psychology!

thanks for your answer, i really hope that i ll find a job very quickly without any problem even if at the moment my english is not very well, but i m doing my best to improve it.
