Forsyth Tech PN Program 2014

Hello all!

I just finished up my application to the Practical Nurse program at Forsyth Tech, I was SO nervous when I was doing my MAR review I could literally hear my heart beating! Lol, I had about 95 points which I'm guessing is okay, how many points have you all had? How did you feel about the teas test? I felt like the science portion was almost impossible to properly prepare for. Am I the only one super nervous? What did make me feel better was the admission coordinator said they are accepting 6 more seats for the fall term which is great!

Nope my mail runs 2-3 u still think they would be mailing acceptance letters??

I'm still holding on to a little bit of hope... I haven't heard anyone say they have received waiting list letters so maybe some of us will get one of those...

Terristrong keep us updated!

Hello everyone, If this helps anyone I had 96 points I got my acceptance letter on the 20th and I live in Pineville! For those who have been accepted, are your CNA certifications up to date? I got my CNA back in August of 2012 and I will need to re-certify by August of this year. I know we have a deadline in May to show proof. Just looking for some feedback, should I go ahead and re-certify now or see what they say at orientation? (I don't want to be kicked out after it expires...if they do that) I have called and still haven't heard anything.

Sb2588 my CNA is up to date, I work in the hospital. But I think if you have the time to re-certify now I would, I mean it wouldn't hurt. I know I will be so excited to start in August the last thing I'll be thinking about is my CNA certification! Lol

Lol yeah I think I want to go ahead and get it out the way.

I final got a letter today 3-24-14 (dated March 20th 2014) saying I am still being considered as an alternate...

What number were you on the waitlist?

I am number 13... she said the acceptance scores were 91-117.4... I know its a long shot being number 13 but Im still praying soooo hard... does anyone know an average of last years alternates that were accepted?

As far as cna goes, I'm retesting this Saturday since mine lapsed while I was pregnant. You can always wait until orientation to see if your cna will need to be valid through the end of the first semester. Or get a prn job somewhere? That would be easier (and less expensive) than retesting.

I got my clinical shoes already :) it's starting to feel real!

What shoes will we need for clinical?

I started to look at stethoscopes, I want a littmann cardiology III but I will wait until orientation to see what is allowed.
