Forsyth Tech PN Program 2014

Hello all!

I just finished up my application to the Practical Nurse program at Forsyth Tech, I was SO nervous when I was doing my MAR review I could literally hear my heart beating! Lol, I had about 95 points which I'm guessing is okay, how many points have you all had? How did you feel about the teas test? I felt like the science portion was almost impossible to properly prepare for. Am I the only one super nervous? What did make me feel better was the admission coordinator said they are accepting 6 more seats for the fall term which is great!

Hey! I just finished my teas for the 2nd time this week. I'm missing my anatomy ranking points bc I'm in the class currently so I needed to make those points up by testing. I had 93 total Monday & 105 today.

I was soo nervous too but feel better now that my score is within last years points. I heard about them accepting more students too so that's even better! You'll have to get on here ASAP when you get your letter :)

The teas test wasn't as hard as I expected but I'm glad I tested twice & studied in between. I added 12 pts that way. The science was what I really focused on the second time and did much better. Just a lot of memorizing.

Tara0404 I definitely will! I know I will be checking the mailbox everyday until it comes, I only had 96 points so hopefully it's enough, good luck to you!

Thanks! I'm sure it will. Last years lowest rank was 95 and they're adding seats this year so it sounds good! I'll be stalking the mailman :specs: I've heard the acceptance letters are sent out sooner than the 4-6 weeks they tell you. Hoping with you!

Forsyth is fantastic at getting letters out in under the four weeks time. I applied to the ADN program last semester (before I had more points) and I knew within two weeks of the deadline that I was not accepted. Thankfully, I'm within the high point range this semester and should get in!

Based on the points for last year you guys seem to be well prepared! I'm wishing you both luck!

Good luck mpreavis!

Hi everyone! I applied for the lpn program at forsyth tech as well. I have 102 points and I am really really hoping I am able to get in! Good luck to you all!

I'm hoping we all get to meet as classmates soon! Did you apply anywhere else @bshuffler?

How was the teas test for you? I'm so excited to hear!! From last years students, I think we should expect acceptance letters in about 2 weeks.

I have to retest for my cna bc it lapsed while I was pregnant but that should be easy. Anyone else have other stuff to do/get?

I did not apply anywhere else. Hearing back in two weeks would be great but yesterday she told me 4 to 6 weeks... I have everything done now so nothing left to do but start the program :) !!! Fingers crossed!

Hi guys...anyone apply for the LPN to RN bridge? I just finished everything up yesterday and hope they don't wait 4+ weeks to send letters.

Tara0404 I have to retake my CNA as well, I recieved mine in high school and since it isn't on the list of approved programs I have to retake the whole thing. It sucks because I've been on the registry for 5 years and I work in the hospital :(

@sweetlady

If you're listed on the registry & nc board of nursing recognizes you, why won't ftech? Who told you you have to retake the class?

i only have to retest & that's bugging me just because I have to do it. Repeating the whole class would drive me nuts. :bluecry1:
