I just turned in three of my four applications , and I'm already sweating bullets! Just thought I would start a support thread for those of us impatiently awaiting results for the Spring of 2008.
Good luck to everyone!!!!

Hey guys. OK, my interveiw went well. I sat across from three people. The director of the program, etc... I liked the fact that they asked about me and what my interest in nursing was. Also, they told me alot more about the program. They where really nice and laid back, which put me at easy right away. Thank God,I was so nervous. Anyway, we talked for about an hour. They thanked me for coming in and said that I would be hearing from them soon. I was hoping I'd leave the meeting knowing if I was in. But, I'll have to wait a little longer to find out. The funny thing is, having the interview has helped me to calm down. I mean, of course I'm still dying to get in. But, after meeting with them and being given the opportunity to try and sell myself, I truely feel as though I've done all I can. I love what I heard, love the school, I feel like they would give me a top quality education. I guess at this point, I've done all I can do. I feel blessed that I was at least given the chace to present myself face to face. A lot of people don't get that chance. So, I feel real greatful. I'll see what happens......... The plot thickens. LOL

I am glad it went well, Lericalpoet. I think an hour long interview is impressive! Fingers crossed for you!
I GOT IN!!!!!
Yesterday I went to the mailbox and there was a large-ish manila envelope from the ONLY school I applied to, 7 days after the date they expected letters would be sent out.
I was correct in thinking that the size of the envelope was a good sign!
There is a mandatory orientation scheduled for one week hence, and my program starts in the fall.
So...what does one wear to orientation? First time I'm meeting my other classmates, two hours long, refreshments, yyy. Jeans? Dress up? It's in a room at the student center of the college. Any advice would be appreciated.
Anyway, I'm one happy camper! Even though it's going to be tough, I'm SO looking forward to the end of this school/work/family/juggling act. It's just going to be SCHOOL!
Good luck to the rest of you. The mailman will come through soon!

Congrats Cokeforbreakfast! (our screen name made me laugh!) Good for you. My envelope was a thin, one page letter, and I was expecting something bigger, so thought it might be bad news when it came. I think they don't send out the good stuff until they know if people are accepting.
I haven't a clue what to wear to the orientation. I think I have a couple months to think about it.
Have fun!

I would be sooo nervous. My school used to do interviews, and stopped the semester before I applied "Thank god". After all the stress of the GPA, entrance exam, and waiting an interview would make my head explode.
Good luck...can't wait to hear the great news!!!!!
