For Fun - Things You Want to Buy Once You're a Nurse

Published

Ok, I know we should be frugal after we graduate and invest in retirement, pay off debt and student loans, etc. However, for a little fun, what kinds of things do you look forward to buying after you graduate and are working as a nurse?

For me: a Dyson vacuum cleaner ($500) and a set of NARS blushes ($200), the best blush on the planet. I've also been fixated on buying a Mini Cooper:

I suspect I'll buy the Dyson and NARS, but the Mini Cooper may just not be a good financial choice.

So what do you all want to buy?

Alaska?? What's in Alaska? --->> Well, maybe.... Sarah Palin! I don't mind seeing her. I'm gonna ask for a photograph, eventhough I don't agree with her politics. Well, I want a picture too :D

I was in Alaska for less than 24 hours because of a layover from Asia to Cali (or was it the other way around?) --> this was back in the '80's though. Anyway, I remember it was the summertime and there were a lot of trees! :D

One thing I like about AK is.... FRESH SALMON -->> Yum! YAY SALMON

Kayaking around glaciers, camping out for a week without seeing a single other person, and yes the fly fishing is amazing, as well as seeing the animals. One of these days I'll get there :)

In school I hear the car one a lot... I'm in love with my old jeep, I think even after I graduate I'll just fix it up a little more.

When I graduate, my husband will be starting nursing school. First thing we will do with any extra money not going to bills will be our student loans. Once those are all paid off, I would love to get a boat!

I really just want to be able to come to a place in our lives where we no longer have to put off paying bills to buy groceries.

I want my own place and a stable jobbbbbbb! :D

That's all I want right now. After those two then I'll think about other things I want. :D

I am in love with this car, hopefully when i graduate, i will be able to afford a brand new one for under $25,000. Seems doable. How hot is it btw.

I hope I'll be able to pay for a house in a better school district or tuition to private school. My two boys always say, "when you're a nurse, Mama, we'll get a house with 2 toilets instead of just 1." :)

A Car!

I dunno what type yet though...

i don't really have knowledge when it comes to choosing cars...lol

i just like whatever attracts my eye,

and i think i like the mini cooper that has red and white color in it!

don't know what model it is...

or maybe a sports car in red!

:D

I am going to buy my husband a tractor! We live on a farm and he needs one, but we've never been able to afford it.

I would love to purchase a Navy Blue range rover and visit this Resort called Punta Cana with my bf =) Occidental%20Grand%20Punta%20Cana%20All-inclusive.jpg

Provided everything goes well with NS and I get a job... here are main things I wanted to do.

-Buy a NICE car... seeing as I don't even have one right now! I'd most likely buy an Infiniti.

-Rent a NICE apartment or small home. I'm way too young to think about buying a house.

-Start dressing the way I want to. No thrift stores, cheap clothes, etc...

-Get a gym membership

-Take me and my family on vacation. It would be my first time going out anywhere.

-Pay off student loans and fix my credit ASAP!

Welllll since you asked *Pulls out long scroll*

lol j/k

I'm looking into buying a house NOW. Houses are so cheap now. You can buy a 3/2 townhouse for 75,000 and the mortgage would be cheaper than what i pay for rent. So maybe that but when I graduate I really just want to pay off this damn 60,000 that I already have in student loans and hopefully whenever I get my NP I can afford to by an Aston Martin. Whoo!

If everything goes well, i would like to pay off my student loan and debts. I want to help my parents pay off this new house and buy them a nice luxury car. They been taking care of me so it's my turn to give back. Of course i would love to buy a house and a car later on. :w00t:
