Ok - who are you, what do you do, where abouts in Florida do you live (or if you are not in Floirda, what part of Florida do you want to move too), what is your clinical area, you status (CNA, LPN, RN, Student, Whatever) and anything else you might want to add.
Some of you already know me, I lived in Florida for a little over 20 years. An RN, I worked and lived in Sarasota. Went to nursing school at Manatee Community College and also University of South Florida at Sarasota. Great place .... love the beaches and the area is truly a wonderful place. I generally work surgical recovery and while in Florida, I worked in post open heart step down and also worked as a nurse manager.
I am a single dad raising three children (all are now teenagers - whew is this rough!). They are really great kids and I am a very luck father to have them.
I'm a nursing student attending a community college in Jacksonville. I will be beginning my classes on 01/05/2006. I'm not sure if I plan to reside her long after graduation. I'm thinking maybe GA. You have the best of both worlds there. Hills, forests, seasons, culture. I'm currently married with two cats, unfortunately, my marriage situation may be changing soon. But anyhoo, nice to meet everyone.

I'm in my second semester @ PBCC! How are you liking it so far?
I live in Palm Beach. Lost my job of 23 years due to 9/11 and the good ole State of Fl paid to retrain me. I decided *lost my marbles* to go into the nursing field. Missed the RN program by 1/2 a point so I jumped into the LPN program at PBCC and passed in May with my Lisc in hand by Aug.
Now I am in Excelsior getting ready for NC2 and hoping to have my RN by end of this year..GOD WILLING...
My name is Heather, I am proud mommy of 1 little crazy monkey almost 2 year old. I am a career changer....well, I guess if I had a career in the first place that would be a much more qualified comment. I have a B.S in Business Management but have ALWAYS wanted to be a nurse.....just got discouraged out of the gate at the tender and impressionable age of 18. Ahh, so we'll consider this a period of maturity. Anyhow, my wonderful spouse is supportive, I had already taken almost every pre-req my freshman year in college back in 95-96 so all I needed was micro to apply to the program...so that's what I'm taking now. Averaging an A in lab and a B in lecture, but we just started our unknowns, so who knows, that could plummet to a C before we're done. Welcome everyone. BTW, I'm in Pasco, but go to school in Pinellas County at SPJC.
hi I work in the Florida panhandle at a Navy Hospital good hours and pay but the hurricanes are taking a toll been there 6 yrs with appx 1500 pt panel whew before that IV nurse Pain clinic nurse and med surg in hosp setting have 2 children and 2 grandchildren in the Ozarks we will probably be pulling up stakes to move to the mountains soon still loving what I do for a living. Just tired of boarding up the house and hunkering down.
Hi, I am an 11 year resident of Fl from up north. I have solved the weather problem by traveling- six months here in Fl and six months in a cooler climate.I am workirng for FH in Altamonte Springs. This is my second asssignment there. I also went from LPN to ADN. I absolutely love what i do which is general med surg.
