It's probably real, like Magellon's disease (I think that's the name), where fibers come out of the skin.

Humans can get ticks from their pets and they burrow under the skin in animals. Can do the same thing in humans.

What caught my attention is that everyone kept asking "how/why are these bugs coming out of my/her skin?" My first question is how are they getting INTO the skin?? Nobody worded the question that way.
The one woman then said in closing that she wanted to find out the answer so they could give her the right medicine to make it stop. That bothers me because that goes on the assumption that there is a medicine for everything, and there clearly isnt. The treatment for this could very well be preventative, not a "medicine".
The odd thing is that it's just "bugs" nobody specifically said what kinds, it appeared that there are several different kinds. I think that an infestation of more that one type of parasite doing the same thing (laying eggs/coming out of the skin) is the strangest part of this.

is this it?

"most individuals with this disease report disturbing symptoms such as crawling, stinging and biting sensations, as well as non-healing skin lesions which are associated with highly unusual structures. these structures can be described as fiber-like or filamentous, and they are the most striking and least understood aspect of this disease. in addition, many sufferers also report symptoms of disabling fatigue, severe mental confusion, short term memory loss, joint pain, sharp decline in vision, and serious neurological disorders."
the woman in the news story had living larvae and flea-looking things littered across her bedsheets every morning. maybe she does just have fleas? hubby not affected though. very wierd.
YES, thank you, Wanna! I knew it didn't look right when I typed it out, that it couldn't be the same name as Magellon's Pass!!

I have a hard time beleiving this is real since parasites want to take up another host as many times as they can, and her husband isn't infected?? I say no way this is not real. I am guessing the doctors have done scrapings as well before dx her as needing a psychiatric eval, so that further placed doubt in my mind.

Well, it does sound somewhat like Morgellons:

But, could also be some other rare parasite that her docs are not familiar with.
Very interesting, keep us posted if there is more info on this.

It is my understanding that with Morgellans, there are different stages of them, like every insect, so they may look different depending on what stage they are. If you look at these Morgellans websites, the insects in this piece and the pictures in the websites are very similar...
