i saw this on the news last week (yes, real, legitimate, respectable news) and can't get it out of my head...

has anyone heard of this???

are these people faking/have some kind of psych related problem or is this real?

Yes this could be an elaborate hoax. But who in their right mind would WANT people to think they have bugs infesting their skin?? What are the secondary gains?

Because the husband was not infected, I tend to think this is some type of dietary or genetic rare side effect. On the dietary side, I'm thinking of relatively new food additives introduced in the past several years like Splenda or maybe she was taking some new diet pill?

I feel badly for these people, and think they deserve our respect, not our judgement.
