I am about to become a new grad. So far I have interveiwed for one ICU position, and next week I have an interveiw for another ICU postion as well as in an E.D.

Did you take the NCLEX yet? I haven't found a place yet which will hire new grads without the RN license. You are lucky to be able to start right after you graduate.

The school I went to (and others I heard about) takes over month to submit the credentials to the Board of Nursing, before we can even take the NCLEX.

same with me. It will be June sometime before I can take the NCLEX, but I will be working under a temporary graduate license which is good for 90 days. I know I am lucky.. they offered 6 months of training for this dream job.. cant wait to get started

You are really lucky to have found that job. :) So under a temp. grad. license can you still give meds or start IVs, or does it all have to be under a supervision of a licensed RN?
