First Fundamentals Exam went Awesome!

Published

I got a 100% on my first Fundamentals exam and am soo stoked! I did a ton of practice problems, and I feel that made the difference. I even heard from people in my school that the first exam in Fundies is the hardest, so try not to let other people get you down. You're going to have to study, but so far at least, nursing school is *NOT* impossible. Also I work 24 hours a week and have 5 kids at home all the time, ages 5 months, 20 months, 5, 9, and 10. You can do it!

I really love reading positive experiences in nursing school. Nursing school is possible, many of us slayed that beast. Good job and continue to do your best!

Congrats! We are done with fundamentals now and on to med/surg I. I really am liking med/surg and learning about the disease process. We also learned suctioning and trach care. But fundamentals was fun!

:up:Omg,wow, congratulations to you! If the first exam is the hardest, I wonder what else is harder ?

what NCLEX book or rationale did you study from?

Excellent! Keep it up!

Wow! Congratulations! :D Such an amazing accomplishment. I too would like to know what you use to practice problems! I love seeing these posts. It makes me feel like achieving the grades I want when I start in October won't be impossible. They just require the appropriate amount of time and effort. :)

Way to go! Keep up the good work :)

Thats amazing! I actually just joined allnurses in hopes to get some tips on how to handle it all. I am a single mom, in the RN program and in my second semester and I feel I am burning out already with work and school and my child and the concept maps !!! These concept maps are literally making me feel like I have an OCD, I will sit and work on one for literally 15 hours straight, however I do not have a focus and the more research I do, the more lost I become. LOL. I hand in 55 page papers with no direction lol.

I def needed to see a post like that to motivate me :)

Great Job MOM :)

Congratulations! How did you do it?... How did you study for it? Did you use additional resources? Can you give more details?

I dont know. Im in Fundamentals and I thought the first one was the easiest.
