First failure, sad sad day

For the first time I failed an exam I failed the muscle lab exam It was really hard for me. I was so confused when looking at the models. I had a really solid high B in the class and now have an 88. To me that is not good. I am used to much better. My average was a 90%, and I was well on my way to an A. I guess it is still possible but I will really have to work hard. It in a way discouraged me. Will my misunderstanding of this particular body system doom me in any more advanced classes? If anyone could enlighten me please feel free to do so.

Hang in there. Honestly, you win some and you loose some. You are not failing the class...just your grade dropped. Keep studying and you will make it through. You will find that some areas you are good at, some you are not so good at, and some things you study for hours and you still barely squeek through. You are never "doomed"- just review what you missed and move on preparing for the next exam.

What's that supposed to mean ? :uhoh21:

That was just a lab test, which doesn't count as much....You'll do better next time. Study hard for your next lecture test! Good luck and hang in there!

Honey, I am an A student and I dropped to the ground and kissed the floor when I got a B in A&P (and yes, it was a high B). These science classes are rough! Dont be so hard on yourself--you are doing GREAT!

We have our muscle test next Wednesday. I think they are harder than the bones. I did good on the bones cause you get to look at them up close and see pretty much right there in your hand where each one is. With the muscles, you just look at pictures and that isnt quiet as clear. Like stpauliegirl said, lab doesnt count quiet as much. Hang in there.

Don't beat yourself up about it. Just keep going over it until you feel comfortable and focus on your goal, you can do it.

Specializes in ICU, Mother/Baby.

I feel your pain ! But the other posters are right! You gotta let it go and keep on! I am just now starting the muscles and I can relate that its much harder than the bones. Do you have the link to study the muscles?? Its only the superficial ones but it helps. Thats what makes the muscles harder because some you have to know that they lie under others and you can see it to study it.

Keep it up and try to make a great grade on the lec part of muscles and that will help keep your grade up!

Also wanted to say a B in A&P is a great grade so dont feel bad if thats what you get!!

Don't be so hard on yourself! You can still pull out an A if you want, but in A&P a B is still a job well done.

Hang in there sweetie, it will be o.k. You'll do better next time. Keep your chin up and focus on your accomplishments and goals.;)

suppose to mean move on.
